earlier this month i went to klinik dr ko in ttdi. my mind was set on getting accutane because i was fed up with my skin conditions. the moment i was seated in front of the doctor i just told him i wanted accutane and nothing else. i left the office with 35 pills of accutane (purple ones, perhaps 20mg?) where i have to take 2 pills for the first five days and one pill for the next 30 days. he also prescribed me antibiotics which i'm supposed to take 2 everyday. altogether, they cost me rm330.

the doctor assured me that in future months he will prescribe me dosage which i can take every few days instead of everyday so i don't have to spend so much. it depends on how my skin improves of course.

not sure... in the receipt that i got it doesn't mention any consultation fees tho. i don't think there is any problem changing doctors as long as you told the new one how much you've been prescribed before.

how many months have you been on the medication?

hello..may i know how is your dr ko treatment result? how long did you take the isotretinoin? did you buy their skin products and skin treatment?

because i have started my treatment at dr ko for 2 months and had took isotretinoin & antibacteria piles. but dr says my skin result is a little too slow. so dr suggested me to use their products (ie: purifying essence & acne therapy solution) &  the extraction treatment.

i am so annoyed by my acne prone skin cuz i will get new acne with pus each week and a lot of whiteheads on my forehead & cheeks. my face wasn't that serious before as i dont have those whiteheads, just that i will get a few acne once a month. i have stopped using whatever skincares, never sleep late but still the problem doesn't seem to be solved. thats why i go for derma clinic haih

hopefully i could some reply and i really appreciate it..!!

Hello. Yeah, my skin is a lot better now. biggrin.gif I'm still using accutane—taking it twice a week— for maintenence.

My skin broke out like crazy in the first few months of taking the medication— a process widely known as "purging". You can just wait it out or you can follow your doctor's instructions in order to "tame" it. Eitherway, with enough time it will disappear. Don't worry.
