For SUBB area, look around your nearest street cabinet whether the code is VB5xxx or VC5xxx. If Vxxxx, VxxxxV or VF5xxx, then no luck for you. 
For HSBB/HSBB2 area, look at your phone pole at the front/back of your house, whether there is small white box hanging in the pole with code C00x | 00x or the small cabinet at the front of your taman with code C00x. For high rise building in the HSBB/HSBB2 area, the cabinet code if I'm not mistaken is V1xxx something.

You're in the same boat as me, perhaps. My area are classified under SUBB as well. Guess what in 2016-2017, TM has done the cabinet upgrade to VC (VDSL) one, unfortunately they just leave my existing cabinet as it is without doing anything. Basically, 90% of my area can subscribe for unifi lite 10Mbps already, only five taman including mine located at the 'heart' of town, surrounded by many government office and one pr1ma residence are leave out. They only upgrade the cabinet situated at the rural area, low cost housing and one taman that basically can be called ghost town, many cracked and abandoned house there.    When I complained to MCMC, they said my address wasn't included in 2016 project, instead the next plan for my address will be in 2020! Well, I just take it as a grain of salt. 2020 is still a long way to go, most of the residence here can get unifi lite already while I'm stuck with streamyx 8mbps!

u mean existing streamyx modem is not compatible?

How are those who is under SUBB? How TM is going to do with SUBB subscriber.

VDSL means streamyx? I am using 4Mbps. Last time when I checked with TM point, they say this is the highest speed available. How can i get the 30mbps? Tell them i want to terminate streamyx?

Well, at least you got 10mbps and tm willing to upgrade the cabinet at your taman. 

Much better than stuck with 8mbps that got such horrendous upload speed

I was ‘gantung tak bertali’. Area classified as SUBB according to TM, but they don’t upgrade the cabinet at my taman. For the reason, we already submit your taman for FTTH upgrade, but pending approval from mcmc for their usp fund which I have no idea when it’ll be happen. At first, they said 2nd quarter of 2019, but still nothing to be seen.

Meanwhile. People are using 1 to 4 MBps copper line crying at corner without fibre infras/port.

I have no idea why TM is making such a big hu-ha. Just simply make an announcement and everyone be informed that's it.

Finallyyy!!!! Unifi available in my area. I'm currently on 8Mb is it a significant difference to change to the 10mbps pkg? Benefits to hope on to fiber? Is it more stable?
I basically, browse net and stream some torrent. About 5 devices attached at any one time but max of 2 users only at a time.
