Yes because MCMC expected Malaysia to phase out from Copper in 2023. So, I think Malaysia will be fully fibre within 2023 something like that when this pandemic going on, it's a bit slow.

You lucky to be offered an upgrade to Fibre. Just upgrade dude. Better than Streamyx. Like tons of better. Just take 30Mbps if you're a light user.

What's the price for 30mpbs? RM89 or are there forced add-ons?

No force add-on. RM89 for 30mbps. However if you want to have free calls on the landline then may need to add on the call plan. Otherwise RM0.20 per minute when using the TM landline.

No more RM25 fix phone rental. Basically just need to pay according to usage if you do not get the free calls add-on. If you feel you do not use the phone, just no need to connect the phone to modem.

Hi!

My family just applied and installed unifi lite 2 months ago.
Then only last week TM just installed the unifi fiber cable outside my house.

So can I upgrade to unifi 30mbps without paying fined for terminate or breaching the unifi lite 2 years contract? Anyone experience this situation before? Thanks!

Upgrade will not incur penalty because they love it when you upgrade. Upgrade will reset contract back to 24 months, but since you are still new it's fine. Only downgrade and early termination will need to pay penalty.
Do call them and ask for upgrade, otherwise go do it at TMpoint.

May I know is the process of upgrading streamyx to unifi lite requires to pull wiring(phone line I assume) from outside into the house again? Currently my existing phone line is behind furniture.. is hassle to move it. Thank you

No. Unifi Lite will use existing copper line. Only when your area has fibre then TM will pull fibre line into your home.

Sorry another question what is the difference between 30mbps unifi vs unifi lite (besides copper and fiber)? Download speed is the same and same price too. thanks

oh yea.. what is the procedure to upgrade to unifi lite? can't find the upgrade plan in my tmnet dashboard, all is unifi. sweat.gif .. go to the nearest tm point fill in the form .. grab the new modem and install myself. then is ready to use?

Yea, my area will be having unifi fiber soon. Plan for 800Mbps. Any suggestion for which TPLink router?

unifi 30M download speed 3.5M per second ...forget about lousy unifi lite.

unifi 30M plan upload speed 1100k per second only.

If u have extra money , go for unifi 100M with upload speed 5500k per second.

If budget tight , then choose unifi 30M plan.
