During the TM Contractor test fro 10mbps, download speed reach 9Mbps and Upload Speed 0.5Mbps..
Thats fast enough for me because current my 8Mbps package only got 6.5Mbps download speed and even lower.
And currently i'm on ADSL.

Hope someone can help. I bought a new modem Asus DSL N16 for my parent and for some reason it refuse to connect --- the ADSL never stop blinking. The old tm modem Riger DB102 and D-Link ADSL-2750U can connect just fine.

It's Unifi Lite but on ADSL2+ I think, so 10mbps download but only 0.5 to 1mbps upload.

If ur password contain special charater like @#$% then some modem
cannot recognise it and refuse to connect to unifi server ...

I thought it was password too, but it's not. Already confirmed with tm operator that it was correct.
Also retype the password into the old modem and they both works.

So...I'm thinking either it's faulty or there's some setting I need to change in this model.
Anyone here using Asus brand modem router? Hoping you can screenshot your setting or something.

The way u test doesn't mean anything ...
The old modem accept the password with abc123$ but some modem
didn't recognise it.
Make sure that password without special charater....I bought one cheap dlink adsl
modem last time ...can't accept abc123$ and refuse to connect internet but old modem
no problem.
Since u already checked it then it must be other problem.

got call from so called TM HQ and offer unifi 30mbs RM89/m normal price..offer rebate rm20 for 12m, so pay RM69/m..contract 2 yrs..free installation include all extra meters/ceiling/hacking cost..said it is new promo since got bajet from gomen..

so great i agreed, and the following call, baru mengaku they are reseller and this offer only for streamyx to unifi upgrade..not available at tm..LOL typical TM..

Yes legid. Already check with agents, but this promo is only for reseller not direct from TM. Basically it's to pull more streamyx subscriber over to unifi so that in future they can stop support for copper line.

inb4, im still on 8mbs for 69 and waiting for fibre work here. sad

My copper cabling I just left it be.. Maybe in the future tm bagi flat rate screamyx rm20-30 ke.. It is necessity nowadays lol..

My house still used fixed telephone but signal is from unifi
fiber line.So no more rent the stupid high price dial telephone line .

ok tm guys came and it was the router configuration, so all is good now.

I think there will come a day when majority place already have fibre, TM will totally discontinue the copper line. Save their job of maintaining the copper infrastructure.

If still under copper infra without any choice for fixed line, better opt for wireless 4G LTE instead.

VDSL ping rates are just as bad as 4G LTE or worser.

Try searching if Unifi Air, Maxis WiFi Go or DiGi Infinite is available at your place and get the no-contract plan by using your own modem.

Given the country size and the way they handle digital in Malaysia (and Politic issues). Copper wont go anytime soon until 2050.

People got chance to use stimix 1mbps dah cukur, some forest land or kampung area maybe using 2G or 3G saje.

Wired or lan (fiber) connection is cater for high usage bandwidth like p2p .
So it wouldn't pupus.
5G is super fast but not design for p2p.

Not necessary. 3G/4G depends on congestion in the area as well.

I don't think that will happen so soon. Some areas still need to climb tree to get Internet. All this is just big talk but implementation wise not as great as it should be.
