From early discussion... I read... if landed house... fiber... if condos.. could be copper also... so the answer to your question is both... it depends... smile.gif

Yes, from modem, generally if you have built in fiber optic in condo, you will have wall port with sign of warning(like cd-rom disc sticker), because of the laser light they used.

If on landed, they will install white box outside of your house(on your external wall), i think its call FDU or something. You won't have this if its copper.

Vdsl is just like Streamyx on steroid. Faster, but technology and physical appearance is exactly the same.

Well....easiest method is for archonixm to check his modem/router vdsl SNR and attenuation....

Generally, fastpath worst case latency is limited to 2ms.

Interleaving worst case latency with max 16 DMT Symbol = 256ms  shocking.gif

LOL, 256 = worst then 56k already.

Based on the stats......you have 11.46ms downstream and 4.16ms upstream latency AS OF the time the statistics was prepared.

Total roundtrip latency caused by interleaving = 11.46 + 4.16 = 15.62ms.

So......you know lah...... console.gif

Damn my area doesn't support more than 2mb.

Just emailed to TM Point Technical team to get the copper cable change for better speed to 10mb.

Hopefully, there's good news.

Mine is much more worst than you. They set the interleave depth to 64 for download which makes my ping not less than 30ms. With such high speed cap at the DSLAM, you still managed to get 0 in CRC errors. My stats shows around 30++ CRC errors in 6 days connection uptime. BTW, I'm still using streamyx 8mbps. There's no unifi lite here (should I say only my taman as well as other three taman are abandoned by tm in their 2016 sub urban broadband project in my area). dry.gif

My address only supported 1mbps streamyx, so since last year august i keep complaint to MCMC and TM keep answer me my address do not hv Unifi due to technical issue and they r not planning to setup Unifi at my address (actually unifi already available at my taman 2 years ago), so last email on this February is they asked me to check again on next year, as they hv already purpose to their committee, need to wait approval from committee and jkr etc. At the time digi offer Infinite 150 at unlimited quota, so i already didnt care about Unifi again.

Last Saturday i saw Unifi booth outside my entrance, i saw some houses which is on next road already hv incomplete fibre optic on the pole, but behind my house don hv it, on this week, alteady saw the fibre optic with white box on the pole, now waiting for them to lay the fibre optic to underground. I noy sure is it because of my complaint to MCMC really help, but this is a big surprise from TM to me. smile.gif

good news.
this is due to ur Taman TM exchange area need to upgrade support fiber unifi that usually take time of processing at TM management level approval.

I also not sure y got this good news, as previously they said my taman hv low demand on Unifi, so they do not plan to lay fibre optic to my address after they hv "trial" demand on part of other houses.

Btw, there hv new factory n houses surrounding me which is almost complete, maybe they jz want to do it in 1 shot? Don care, as long as got Unifi, it is enough for me d. Last time i direct visit to Unifi development department, a guy said they didnt plan to set Unifi at my address, if I cant wait, then jz move house. -.-

Bro
Check with u, for what i understand
The higher the target SNR margin, the lower connection speed.
SNR Margin usually at 6dB to 9dB
But in SNR the higher dB is better
In this case the SNR Margin is high, should consider connection speed is not good right?

Exactly edit: I misread your statement. But if you asked me......I say there are few manufacturers mislabel SNR as SNR Margin.....Asus being one of them... doh.gif
