no idea...how accurate it is would be up to its software too.
i was thinkin of getting one of the decathlon ones with GPS...cos rm599 only...then reading its issues with app sync etc made me think twice.
i still think in the end kinda wasting money buying those cheap fitness tracker like mi or whatever...cos in the end they're just glorified dumb bracelets.
better spend abit more for quality from polar or garmin etc.
Thanks for the feedback.
Probably have to do more research on these watches.
I did do
some reading on the calorie burn function and most of the research said that it is computed based on rate heart input that you give off during your exercise activity. But one issue is that we have to key in our stats like gender, height, weight and age even. Apparently the computer calculates an average calorie burn rate based on data that has been collected for people with stats similar to ours. So for example if at my height, weight, gender and age with the
live heart rate the watch is reading off me, the average calorie burn rate is
XX calories per minute then that is what it will show. It apparently won't show the
actual calories burnt per min for you but rather is an average from data collected. Because, our stats might be exactly the same but there are other internal processes going on that affect calories burnt that the computer cannot...well..compute.
I think this is good enough though because chances are we all fall somewhere in the data spread they use. For a more accurate calorie burn rate, I think we'd have to go do a stress test and be hooked up to the monitors.
Just basing from what I've read, not saying that this is for sure how these watches work. Heck someone also told me to completely go natural and look at myself in the mirror to see if I am indeed burning enough calories. Makes sense and saves money too haha.
Happy to hear input from more experienced users or those with more knowledge.
