Hi Guys,

Need some advise here.... icon_question.gif icon_question.gif
During February, the upper unit having water leakage & causing my ceiling have water marks.
Already get Management Officer (MO) to do inspection & take pictures. When the MO try to contact the owner (a lady) of the upper unit, she promised to get the leakage problem solve asap. After that , the MO constantly follow up with her, she starting to be rude & giving loads of excuses that she's not free.... she's not in town etc. ranting.gif
Several times the lady promised to meet with the MO & my agent for discussion, ended up she didn't turn up & not even want to pick up the calls & reply messages. vmad.gif bangwall.gif mad.gif

It's been over 5 months now cry.gif & my unit water leakage condition become so bad. The water marks become worst & the paint starting to fall out. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif Until today, she still doesn't want to take the calls & msg.

What can I do???

Ask building management to write a letter to local council so that local council will send owner a warning letter.. if owner still no response, legal action will be taken

I think she don't want to meet you because she knows she need to spend money to do all the repair works.

Not sure if you read this already but good info for everyone living in high rise.

http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...ving-nightmare/

Whoever fails to give access to the party carrying out the inspection commits an offence! And the punishment is severe too; a fine of up to RM50,000 or imprisonment of up to three years or both, under regulation 63(2).

5 months is too long, you guys have been too nice to her.

excellent info.. rclxms.gif

this should force all owners to be more responsible..if you live in a strata high rise building you have better
be prepared to follow all rules and regulations - if don't want to, then go stay in a bungalow and what not..

I've asked building management to write letter to local council already.
According to management, that lady said she will only deal with management, she will not taking call or msg from strangers....#$%^&%$#$%^&!!! vmad.gif
The best thing is... she told management that she's still looking for the contractor that can provide her the best price for repairing work. WTH ranting.gif .... it's so rediculous that she need 5 months to look for the best contractor in town?? or across country probably! bangwall.gif mad.gif

I see.. you may ask the building management to issue a letter to local council immediately regardless wat the lady say.. looking for contractor is not an excuse..
