I got my makeup artist, photographer and emcee from Kaodim website. For photographer, mine was a half-day thingy. Starts at 10:30am in church, ends at 2:00pm after luncheon. No videos. Simple stuff. The person charged me RM1600+. Think it's okay since the others asked for USD$1000.

For Actual Day photography, do put lower expectations compared with Pre-Wedding. Coz in AD, people will be moving around. Everything is fast fast fast. There's no posing and waiting for the cameraman. Despite how beautiful the samples are, the rule is percentage. The photographer will only show you the nice samples. But we do not know how many percent from the total set will look like that.

Therefore, from the sample, try to see if the photographer's style fits you. During comparison from several quotations, I notice that some will focus on the gatecrashing heng dai; some will focus on the guest; some will focus on the couple; some will do overly artistic shots on props; some will do casual random snaps; etc.

This is my bad experience of pre-wedding pictures with Fixer Photography in SS2, Petaling Jaya. Let me share about the entire journey of my pre-wedding shooting. First, we approached the shop, of course, everything was nice, we are happy with the package, and that’s why we decided to sign.
Here is where the process started --> selecting the gowns. The good thing about Fixer is you can choose all the gowns available. But, I was disappointed with the service provided in this session. I was expecting their assistance as they are experienced in the bridal industry and have an excellent eye for what flatters, but they did not. The staff that helping me to wear the gown don’t even know how to lace a corset back properly!!! And the selection of gowns is very limited compared to other bridal shops. After gowns selection, they did advise on the coats for the groom, but not much choice. We did have a chance to talk to the photographer before gown selection but not the makeup artist until we requested. I told the makeup artist my expectations and showed her some hairdo pictures, and she told me no problem.

Shooting day. I was totally disappointed with the hairdo and make-up. I don’t mind if she tells me that I demand for impossible hairdo or the hairdo doesn’t suit me, but the makeup artist told me that she can do but end up the result was completely different and it was SUPER ugly!!! I noticed that the most of the bride hairstyle is almost the same (loose hair) in the pictures posted in their social media. I guess this the best hairstyle she can do. Another worst thing was my eyebrows, they were not in the same length…OMG!!!! Too bad I didn’t notice as I was not paying attention on my makeup. Be frank, no point communicating with the make-up artist while she can’t achieve what you expect, and never discuss with the bride before she do any hairstyle, match accessories and make-up. The shooting process was good, this is the only enjoyable time.

Finally, our pictures. What the purpose of shooting so many pictures while less than 10 of the pictures were nice??? Again, I am totally disappointed with Fixer. The poses are all the same, nothing special, just looking at each other, kissing…repeat and repeat. About the photo editing and design, what can I say "nothing special". Everything is so different from what we see in their sample photo album.

One more thing that I would like to comment is their attitude, some of the staffs were not polite.

No doubt some of the pictures that showed in social media were nice, but my pictures are not up to my expectations. This is my experience with Fixer Photography in SS2, I regretted.

Nice tips pkh~
Just done my wedding on Dec 😂
I think engaging with a photographer that can bring up the atmosphere is quite important. Been to some of my friends' wedding and the photographer was really "shooting photos" only.

So far was quite happy with my actual day photographer from the price and the photos delivered (pass back to me on time as promised). Can have a look if he fits you https://www.facebook.com/cloverartstudioz/
