When i bought this card from him on 25-march-2007,i do cod with him,after check the card and package everything is ok,but i found the fan stick which has a msi word,like rip a bit,but i dont mean

then i ask him everything working fine right?he said yes,and ask me dont overclock it,ok,i dont overclock it,but after i took it back and put into my pc,then everything fine,after a few days,when i play warcraft after 1 hour,my pc start to restart itself,i thought i overclock the ram too much,because i just bought a D9GMH from jetyap,so i try to step down the frequency,and try again,but the problem still come,a few days i keep on adjust my pc,still got this problem,after my friend tell me maybe is the graphic card problem,but i run the 3dmark 01 is ok also,no problem,then i just take out the casing plane,and touch the heatsink of the x1600pro,it is damn hot!and i look at the fan there,it doesnt work at all!wtf!
no wonder he ask me dont overclock this card!btw,i didnt overclock this card.i turn off the computer immediately and check it properly,the fan is like this


ok,then yesterday night i pm him and want to ask him to refund for this!then what he said?

Msi x1600XT has a 590mhz core,and this msi1600pro has 500mhz,just the msi help you overclock it only.

fine no point arguing about whose fault is this, if u want a refund ok.. maybe u bad luck or i bad luck.. but nvm i will refund u once and for all

Personally, I don't think it should be a full refund. For an item of this value, the buyer should also bear the cost as well. If I were the buyer, of course I am quite angry because the fan is faulty, but asking for refund is probably my second option.

Why not try install a new fan or fix the fan syapl? You said yourself you are quite familliar with electric board and stuff.

This is my 2 cent only.

Solutions :-
1. Full refund
2. If syapl really like the card, then just find a replacement fan and ryant3 can pay for the new fan, or both share the cost
3. Alternatively, ryant3 can refund and buy new fan replace it and sell again.

now the problem is i bought the cooler master blue ice already yesterday night,from my friend,he bought from lowyat and now he sell it to me,which cost me rm30 for it,i have place it on top of the card now
if full refund,i dont have 3d card now and have to buy again

blue ice? isnt that for northbridge heatsink? can be applied at gfx as well?

yeah i was supprice as well....btw now heatsink for gpu is cheap...in my opinion the heatsink money should be split by both parties

just take out it heatsink of blue ice,and use the fan only,use screw driver place the screw on the heatsink ,the x1600pro heatsink got a gap between the vane,so i can place the fan on it,but no on the center of the gpu core,a bit far from it

i dont mind paying for replacement of the fan.. but the thing now is whether i should pay full RM30 or partially? What do u guys think?

if buy from the bulk section in lowyat.net,yes,but it is bought from lowyat,and my friend bought it and havent use it,i think it is reasonable
