Hi ALL wub.gif

Just asking for opinions, i have come up with a list for dc that i can afford to buy?Of course, mostly used items.
So, i would be honour if you can point out which one of this model that you think good at features and good for a entry level.. Hopefully i can get a good device to start with before entering DSLR arena....

*OZ - Optical Zoom

Here's the list:

1 - Canon Powershot A570IS [7.1MP 4XOZ Added: IS] SD
2 - Canon Powershot A550 [7.1MP 3XOZ] SD
3 - Kodak C875 [8MP 5XOZ] SD
4 - Kodak Z612 [6.1MP 12XOZ Added : IS] SD
5 - Kodak Z650 [6.1MP 10XOZ] SD
6 - Kodak Z740 [5MP 10XOZ] SD
7 - Fujifilm Finepix E550 [12.3MP (actually 6.1MP) 4XOZ] xD

My budget : less than RM700.. so that's why i go for "used" dc. blush.gif

If you were me, which one would you choose? I have read all the reviews and I'm stuck on not making any decision at all. Too many reviews makes me confused. rclxub.gif

I did make some decision though... the dc must use AA batteries. Already bought MAHA gadget for it.

I do not mind if it's a lil heavy for a female like me.... Your comments are much appreciated. Better ask the experienced user before buying....

Thank you. notworthy.gif

You should most definitely go for the Canon A570IS. The IS is da best. I'm a proud owner of a Ixus 850 IS. So, go for Canons.... thumbup.gif

Added on April 4, 2007, 3:03 pmThe SD card format also rocks!!!!!

fuji f20, now around rm600.

trust me, size is very important, cam that use AA is too big.
if you buy canon or other brands, say byebye to indoor shots, canon is horrible in lowlight no flash.

hi all, thank you for recommendations... at least i know some of you had experience the camera before....

to be honest, i did list out Fuji f20 into my "wish list" but the fact that it uses special battery and xd card is somehow pricey... looks like kodak had lost here....

i've already bought Maha charger and batteries, added with eneloop batts... all is brand NEW. If i take f20, i must sell my Maha...

But the good thing is, i already narrow down to either canon or fuji.. ah hah, that does solved my headache...

thank you

feel free to share opinions... i appreciate your experience sharing. notworthy.gif

lit-ion battery last longer, has lower discharge rate, much much smaller and lighter than AA battery, you will really appreciate the size/portability/convenience after a while.

as for canon vs fuji, do you wanna take pic like this?

they are iso1600, taken with fuji Fxx series, you cant take this kind of pic with canon.

Added on April 4, 2007, 6:37 pmaddendum: you can take this kind of pic with canon with flash.

fuji f20 is around rm600 NEW, not secondhand.
