Went around and scouted for room divider. Realized most of it is hollow/cabinet styled. Would like to look for some room divider that is not see through, and no holes through... Any recommendations where to get those?

Thanks!!!

Need some nice looking partitions around 6-7ft tall, 6ft wide..thin ones will be good.

Don't know how to make my own 😅

Hand a pole from the ceiling. Get thick cloth or buy Ikea sliding curtains and hang from the pole to act as room separator.

Really depends on how much you want to spend + your current house design.

Option 1 - Covered Hollow Cabinets

Ikea cabinets
Complexity Level : Simple - Moderate (fixing Ikea stuff usually frustrating)

+

Black white photos to cover the holes (still have space to put things)

Option 2 - Pallets
Complexity : Simple - Easy (just don't wood pricking your fingers ; might have to sand the pallet to give it a smooth finish)

Take a couple of pallets (weighted it at the bottom so it doesn't topple over) cover it with pictures

Option 3 - Japanese room dividers
Complexity : Dirt simple (Pay money and get it delivered)

Option 4 - Fixed Separator
Complexity : Moderately - Frustrating (talk to carpentry person to do + co-ordination + cost more than the above)

Floor to ceiling metal poles on each side ; and put a zinc sheet (minus holes) held both sides with couplers on the poles. Can use as a magnetic board and stick notes, photos, etc on it.

Have to customise as floor to ceiling height is different, installation points (plaster ceiling, no plaster ceiling), materials to be used (aluminium, steel), etc.

Have to get "free" user doors then would be cheaper biggrin.gif

Still have to mount the door at floor. Standard door size is 7' x 3', ceiling height is usually 9' - 11'. Hence still need a contractor to install the frame / mount.
