usually one day only for sirim to produce the cert.. rm100 if not mistaken. last time i did the process on my own.

i bought dashcam, item got stuck because no permit..

then i bought shaver from amazon, easily pass through custom..

not really sure the exact criteria. maybe based on how the officer is feeling at that time.

What paper work is involved in getting the permit
first time bought kindle from amazon and now i need to get
this permit.

so 100 RM + custom duty ?

Appreciate your help thanks

Regards
Rizwan

If you apply your own, you pay about 100 plus.
If you get agent to do then pay more

Apply for the SIRIM permit online very easy and smooth process. I bought a full set 6 CCTV camera with NVR. One permit required if all the items are the same. If different each item need its own permit. RM30 per permit

One permit is only required for the same item. Therefore I only need one permit for 6 CCTV camera and one permit for he NVR. Saved about RM2000 vs buying the system here. I bought Hikvision btw.
