Hi guys.
So my problem started in May. I've been using Digi broadband since January and it was perfect. Suddenly in May errors regarding ports come up such as port closed (even though I opened them), port in use (even though nothing is using the ports), or firewall not permitting some ports (even when I had all firewalls disabled). I can connect to websites just fine, but certain things such as Warframe, TeamSpeak3, and Rainbow 6 Siege (haven't tested other games or apps) are not connecting well because "NAT is strict" or one of the above port errors.
I'm using Huawei B660 Maxis unlocked router, connected to PC through cable.
So far I have tried:
1)Porting out, creating firewall exceptions.
It didn't change anything.
2) Tested a different SIM in (Digi postpaid phone SIM)
It worked perfectly fine. So I suspected it was my broadband SIM.
3)Changed a new SIM. The one where you pay RM10.
Problem continued. Digi staff also said no one else has this problem. Suspected it's only my account.
4) Terminated my broadband account and opened a new one with a new number.
Problem solved! Worked perfect for more than a month until last week. Then the same problem is back. I began suspecting it's user-related.
5)Wanted to terminate and make a new account yet again, but the report I have with that account will get discarded. So I got a Digi prepaid broadband instead so I can get a working internet while they try to fix the problem.
Surprise! It has the same exact problem as my postpaid broadband. So I think it's specifically for broadband.
6) The broadband SIM in my phone, and used tethering. Got 'unidentified network'.
7) With a different modem (Huawei E589) and still the same problem, limited to broadband SIMs.
Problem disappeared when I went into a new billing cycle. 2 weeks later, it's back. Something stinks like fish.
Any advice on what to do? Complained to MCMC/SKMM but all they did was assign this complaint to Digi tech =.=
Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch.
