Been playing bass. Been writing my own lines for some time now.

Looking to get a guitar to accompany the bass. I'm mostly into blues inspired rock. Nothing metal so far. So not really into Ibanez.

Also looking at a decent squire if its available.

Problem is, theres so many epiphone models to choose from its confusing.

Which is the best epiphone for 1.2k?

You should be able to find a used Korean-made (Samick, Unsung factory produced, mid-90s) Epiphone Les Paul or SG for under RM1K; with the original Epiphone hardcase for around/under RM1.2K price range.

To me, Epiphone lower ends can be hit or misses.

One of the best deal I've seen recently is the Squier '51 if you dont mind the aesthetics and switching. They have a huger following overseas, and now on sale in Bentley now for half your budget.

no blonde, the only one on display is burst
I doubt if they have stocks but never hurt to ask.. or pressure them to check at least... haha
i tried it and instantly like it alot. Very versatile rocking machine with a good feeling neck and split coil options.

ya its a decent piece, save for the basswood body...
i guess it would have a thicker slightly more comfortable neck.

btw, whats the discount on it? retail i think is rm1.1k.
im guessing its a 40% discount? seems thats the most i usually seen when they really want to clear a fender.

30% on the price of RM800, so after discount is RM560. Probably very old stock?? The condition seems to be ok.

Yeah the neck isn't skinny like many other Squiers, has a comfortable matte finish and sounds great too.

Grab it and show us a NGD thread la biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

any possibility that it may be the first issue instead of the current vintage modified?
basically top loading vs string thru body bridge.
