guys i have a problem due to claimming warranty for my fatal1ty AN8
from this kenny guy from shop UME at taman U skudai jaybee

last time i sent this mobo to claim warranty where the board was fail cannot enter bios and some more problem where at one of the IC got lot of solder short
then another IC feet was bent or can say almost broken already

i can say that i can remember all the defect part of my mobo and even it has it own birthmark at the back of the mobo.

i send this mobo to claim warranty at 19/10/06 and i just got phone call by him yesterday and he said that the mobo was back and ready to collect. I ask him the condition of mobo
he said it was brand new and they already replace new one for me and it was in box.

then today at 6.++ pm i went to UME to collect the item and want to see the mobo was in good condition or not.

when i saw that board it was not with box and my old esd plastic was the one that used to cover up the board has been given back to me.

i notice that the board was not new and got lot of problem where all the defect was still the same. can say that the mobo haven done anything. the bent ic feet, the short ic and lots more, they didt replace or change new one for me.

i can tell u guys that when i saw the mobo it was not new at all



like i gave him like that he gave me back also like that and done nothing at all at the board.. i F@#K with all the people in UME where they all want to lepas tangan liaw

so i fed up and F@@K up now n i want to ask u guy opinion to solve for my problem

their distributor i not sure but it sound like "convergen"
i tell them i want full refund and they don't want layan me as tell me that it was their distributor problem and they only sell the item only. is that make sense to you guys.

i can say that they sell he item them they are the distributor and they take the good from supplier am i rite.

i took almost 6 or more than 6 month to claim the warranty.

as i know normally when customer claim warranty and they will try to fix it and if they cannot fix the item they will replace new one and the duration to fix the item was in 1 month.

now it take more than 1 or 2 month and what i get back was the old item that i send back to them damd man...

can any one help me to get their distributor "convergen"

well i just want to share a story, my friend bought a mobo from a shop(A**m) at lowyat plaza,and originally tat mobo has 3 years warranty and after 1 year of usage,tat mobo is fautly and went for a warranty claim...after a month which they promise tat the mobo will be ready by then,my friend called and they say wait for them to call...after 9 months onli they call back stating tat the mobo is lost by the dealer...then my friend when to the shop to see how to settle the matter,they say they will replace a mobo to my friend but with diff mobo,also tat mobo is old,crappy looking and they onli give 3 days warranty...hell wat can be done as my friend is in need of a pc,he took it

anyway contacting the distributor wont do anything,i suggest you to bring the mobo to a place where it is sold and tell them to claim warranty and u will pay for the transportation fees and stuff....good luck

1 malay guy said to me like this "u dah tau mobo ni dah rosak asal x anta awal2"

Probably the board was repaired by the technician at the shop before sell it to you since you said theres soldering stuffs on the board.

The distributor won't RMA a board or any parts that have been repaired or modified so they resend it to the shop without replacing or repaired and the shop send it back to you.

These incidents r act quite a norm specially in PC-related biz. And the duration of RMA depends on various issues.

Frm the conditions described, was the mobo new or 2nd hand? Coz TS stated there were solder shorts & bent IC pins

As mentioned by kingmaker, if any1 else tried 2 repair the mobo, warranty voids by itself & distro wont b handling it ready


ciohbu 'd b reading this thread & he'll knw how long RMAs take
