i got gears of war!


but now with the disc there are sometimes disc read errors.. and i was wondering if this was just a disc prob or disc read errors mean something wrong with system.

because disc looks very clean, and the next time it is played, the error doesnt come up.

i also got a brief red ring of light once..

does it say ''to play this disc put it in an xbox 360 console''? coz i hv that error with my games

no.. its original. the system is unmodded.

the disc is from the US bytheway..

there just comes the side bad saying the xbox was unable to read the disc.. right in the middle of the game, and then it goes back to the dashboard. if i select play game again, then its ok

that disc got problem...

damn i also have the same problem with gow,
only during online multiplayer matches,
it will sometimes show the same msg when loading a new map, and then goes back to the dashboard, damn frustrating...

another problem is with NFS:most wanted,
sometimes when i change cars it will try to load the car but then hang....

I've faced this problem as well.
It's gone after I stop leaving the disc in the console when I'm not playing.
The other day I forgot to remove the disc, and during the next playing session the error msg appeared (hours into the game).

Could be a coincidence though.

crap .. i hav those msg'es too..abit annoying though...but when i started to put my console horizontally,d problem seems to go away...only when placed horizontally

I usually leave the disc in the tray even after gaming it, both on or off

is this because dvd-9 discs are more sensitive to be read by the laser? maybe it has some glitch when reading data and switching layers?

nope. the truth~ I think is the QC of the disc~. I have quite a few who exchange the GOW disc .

yeah, my box is also vertical, and the disc is kept in the tray!
:0 so i've done everything possible to get the error! ahah

bytheway, i got it from the US.. so it was probably manufactured at a different place than the discs that you guys are playing, right Djinn?

mostly all the free region games are printed in singapore ... yes. NTSc/UC format are different from asia...
