Reviving my old thread tongue.gif

Any idea on the best audio system for the PS4?

I'm not sure what kind of the latest audio technology will the PS4 bring us.

Was caught in 2 minds between renting out my new apt or staying there. In the end stay so sound output from my TV instead. Now have to make do with wiring like the pic below until i can 're-renovate' it.

That is a big tv dude. Nice wall mounting too tongue.gif Definitely need some wiring tuning biggrin.gif

From what i know most audio system need to opened up to certain volume to really hear the sound quality. Cant do that in an apartment without soubnd proof. Im am using a cheapo LG 5.1 theater set bought from carrefour happy hour sales before they close shop in Malaysia @RM800+  tongue.gif Not that great, but can fulfill basic requirements. But tv tarak av cable left. So have to go buy an optical cable for it.  unsure.gif

LOL thanks. Lazy to do wiring tuning. If u see how many contraptions I have including astro, PS3, fibre modem, wireless router and I haven't added my BD player which is still under wraps.

Nice... which part you want to "re-renovate"? ...looks okay to me, just need to tidy up the wiring i guess smile.gif
*
Not so easy to tidy up. There are no holes other than at the back of tv that comes out at the astro in the bottom. That's why you see my PS3 connected to the side cable.

Anyways once I clean up (if ever) will likely get a soundbar and put in the center instead. The only other alternative is getting those wireless home theatre but my place already have so many signals flying around that I'm concern on interference.

This will be your savior - http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Fidelio-HTL9...s/dp/B00BBUUDS2

Basically you get to split the left and right drivers, place it wherever you want and instantly just like that, surround sound. No fuss, no wires.
And most importantly, it sounds bloody good too.

Nice. Like the simplicity but will wait and see first. House still messy as it is smile.gif

Wireless for the speakers mean it doesn't need any cable to connect to the main receiver, right? but how about the power source for the speakers? using battery? how long will it last after fully charge?
*
Good question. I always assume there's a logical answer but yeah I assume separate power I suppose.

laugh.gif i think i'm using the same tv blush.gif

awesome set, but the reflective screen can get damn annoying during the afternoon sad.gif
*
Yeah with that price 6-9 mths ago it is the best bang for buck I scoured. Even now the price still comparatively measures up.

LOl, once too engrossed in game the reflective screen is not noticeable. But having said that definitely would need a thicker curtain to cover up the light.

I've been thinking of getting one of those matte screen protectors(made specifically to prevent/reduce glare) but i suck at applying screen protectors sleep.gif

last thing i want is to see bubbles on a TV! laugh.gif
*
LoL, didnt know they sell one so huge. I think bigger screen lagi higher chance of bubbles. So challenging to apply properly.

Wow. Didnt know about this. Doesnt sound cheap though. Some more its not a film to apply but something to hang over. Are you using it?
