Omni, do you mind sharing the model no of this pioneer?

I saw one Pioneer model at Sogo yesterday, came with optical in and wireless also. It was a display set and the salesman mati-mati say negative things about it sampai i terpengaruh also...hehe

Im looking for a 5.1 ch surround system. Currently, my Samsung LCD is connected to my PS3 via HDMI and to my normal DVD via the normal connectors that came with it.

Im currently looking at the HITBs - Sony DAV-DZ555k, Pioneer PIO-HTZ555 or the Pioneer PEE-HTP2700. Alternate will be the Logitech 5500 (which means I will still use my old DVD player). Budget <RM1.8k.

I know i should connect my PS3 to the HTIBs / Logitech via optical input. Tapi kalau ada HDMI in pun boleh kan ie:

LCD TV -> PS3 (HDMI) -> HTIBs / Logitech?

My grouse like most of u is that the newer HTIBs don't have optical input.

Having the PS3 is a blast, but getting the best value for money 5.1 ch surround system is quite pening lah for me. Pls advise.

The Muteki is out of my budget while the Genki is within range. However, i saw it yesterday too, and the receiver was mak aih besar nya....haha.

Talking about receivers, anyone knows if shops are selling a/v packages ie receiver + 5.1 speakers? Preferably below 1.8k. I only saw one Pioneer HTP2700 at www.lelong.com.my.

trouble is rx330...some salesperson dont even know what is optical input....

also, mati2 wanna sale those "HTIB ini ada HDMI mah bang" tapi not realising its HDMI in i want, HDMI out... (it's either/or optical input or HDMI in I want)

seeing all these, my best bets are still the Pioneer 2700 or the Z5500 from logitech....PC Fair sure got deals one kan? Tapi experienced the crowd last time ..... shudder at the thought of doing it again...kekeke

guys, went to PC fair...

the people, i tell you...... on the upside found this sonic gear enzo 7000 (they say it's new model) selling at Rm499. 5.1 speakers puls GOT optical input......hehe.

Last 3 units were being sold yesterday. tapi didnt but ler....tengok the crowd, how to get through with the bix box of speakers? hehe

tried to google this system only on the website got catalog but cant download yet..my internet slow from the opis today...

anyone got reviews or have used this before?

ya, i thought so about it being a low end speaker. but the sales guys showed me the ports plus the box also says that it comes with one optical input - suitable for use with xbox, playstation and dvd player...

that's why i asked whether got people used this before this or not. AFAIK, it's a new model cos it was not in the brochure i got from them. the sales guy keeps saying it's a new model too....
