After looking at the this thread, i wanted to know where can i find all these stuff? Those good receivers with HDMI input in Malaysia?

Something like the Onkyo TX-SR605 where i can get it?

yah from i been looking on9, the HDMI seems to be the onli thing tat can go for 7 channel speaker! Coaxial cable only up to 5. So maybe they will be more and more hdmi sound card or receiver coming up this coming year...

yah keeping up with all those technology is really a lot of $$.

I have just order a AV receiver which comes with HDMI v1.2, 2 input/ 1 output. Now i need some advice on wat type of speaker to get for 7 channel experience!!! Prefer to be desktop size!!! What brand for really good uncompressed sound!!!!!!!

I just got a Pioneer VSX-2016, is only the receiver and no speaker yet! And also i havent go collect it yet.
Now need so good advice on getting good quality speaker. Later when i get it i will post the pic

I got it RM2800.

Basically i choose to buy a 2000++ AV receiver not just for PS3, and i love those orchestra music so i invest a lot into a receiver!

In the KLAV i only see Receivers with HDMI in and out. Didnt notice anything else that come with HDMI in and out.

So far this 7.1 channel thing is really hard to fulfill if we dun have enough "bullets" ($money$)!!!
The cheapers home theather that have HDMI are mostly pass through so no 7 channel support, i think u still get 5.1.

Marantz have a AV receiver that has HDMI v1.1, 1 input 2 output! but that will cost almost 1500++ onwards and without any speaker!!! So if u get the speaker together it will cost up to 2000++!!!

I think the most u can get is a Creative 750! But u wont get 7.1 effect with the speaker itself! U need other things to get that result! Like receiver and bla bla bla.....
If u go for Logitech Z5500 u can get 5.1 effect and u wont need anything else but just an optical cable to connect ur PS3 and the Speaker! That will cost around RM1500+-

of course u can! But for 5.1 surround u need to use Optical! Normal AV cable cant do so..... and for 7.1 surround u need HDMI input available HT

I rather go LowYat then PC fair. Price same and less crowded

I dun think my neighbour will be mad since this type of speaker produce out very clear tones even after u set it to a high volume,. Unlike my previous Altec Lansing 4121 which just give u so much base until u dun hear any other sound!
For sound quality it is tremedous and if u run it with HDMI cable it is even clearer than optical cable (of course lah), now i onli know sound can be very adictive! I have been using PS3 to play music instead of game this day!

The receiver is RM2800, the speaker for just the Polk Audio was RM1000+ and the center speaker was around 700+- (it is an old speaker, the guy sold it to me for stock clearance)

If u are looking for an receiver with HDMI i think the lowest i seen there is RM1800+- from Marantz. Another good speaker i saw there was the Acoustic M speaker, RM630 but the sound that it produce are loud and nice way better than PC Speaker!
