ya GTA5 for me is just the normal thingy i don't expect much surround for it. Where do u config the in game virtual speaker on ps3?

i really like the MDR-1 design , red n black is very sharp. It seem it been out for almost a year, checked on the head fi forum, much comment are ok.

It isn't on the PS3, it's on the game itself. GTA5 sound settings.

How's the soundstage on the MDR-1?

Oho , im shame i stil havaen't dwell in to GTA5 sound setting doh.gif

For me the sound stage is very clear, i tested it on chris_tilton-simcity_theme song, it was clear, all the instrument can be hear clearly, from the very subtle noise to the gushing sound of violin is very smooth.

Will need to try it out some day.
Been impresed with Sony's headphones lately, especially the superbly balanced MA900 which in turn is quite possibly the most comfortable headphone I've ever wore.

Hey guys, pulse elite for ps3 gooding or not? I was looking for headset since my home speaker exploded. I've tried it and the bass sound quite good. So any other recommend model beside this? Budget around RM400. Thanks.

what is the best audio i should get for the budget around 2k (preferably 5.1)?
I've been reading this thread but i just got confused ~_~.
correct me if i'm wrong..

I'll need speaker as well as AVR to connect all my devices (ps3/4, blu-ray player, media-player, hypptv).
does AVR quality matters more than the speaker? should I invest on AVR first then only on speakers or vice versa (this way i can budget more slightly higher than 2k)?

This is my setup

source: PS3

pre/pros: emotive umc-200 - import from US

power amp: emerald physic 100.SE - import from US

Speakers 2.0: Xls encore at www.curveacoustics.com - locally available..

The dynamic, soudstage and detail very surreal..Playing god of war and COD feels like you are really in the game, once the adrenaline rush kicks in, I felt really excited and terrified at the same time because of the bombs, bullets and whatnot..haha! It's the best gaming experience I had. Period.

already bought sound system earlier this year.

Denon AVR x-2000, Wharfedale diamond 10.2 (FR/FL), Wharfedale diamond 10CM (CC), Wharfedale diamond 10.1 (SR/SL), Wharfedal powercube spc-10 (sub).

use it for all systems; ps3, ps4, tv, bluray. But now mostly i use ps3 for netflix/game/blu ray movies and ps4 for game/blu ray movies.
so far, experience has been good. Playing game like BF4 is really nice, esp all the explosions. i like that I can now hear better surround sound.. can even hear those enemy spawn behind you, or parachute down behind you in bf4..

Sony's Symphony Light speaker

This is one unique tech where you can hide your speakers inside a lamp. Great for ambient sound or surrounds sound I guess. rclxms.gif

Hi guys...just need some advice..planning to get my PS4 soon..and this is my current setup:

PC to 2.1 PC Speakers (Sonic Gear Blue Thunder 3)

Planning to get an LED TV for the PS4 (LG's 42LB5610 )..and since the PS4 only have HDMI and optical output..what's my best option for affordable sound system?

Hope to get a decent speaker set for my PC and PS4

I have very limited space as the TV and Speaker will have to share my table

Thanks peeps

Edit: Eyeing the Sony HT-CT370

Sound bar is good for tight spaces... but if you have a bit more budget I suggest you to buy AV receiver / speakers / subwoofer separately because for future proof... it is quite enjoyable to upgrade one part by one part according to your budget...

take me as an example... last time I only have small space for my gaming room, so i just bought an AV receiver+front speakers+subwoofer... two years after that, I've moved to a larger room then I add center+rear speakers... after a year then I bought a pair of floor standing speakers to replace the front speakers where the front speakers I've moved to become rear back speakers to become 7.1 channel... now i'm still thinking to upgrade my old wharlfedale sub-woofer but still not enough budget... but it was a very interesting project... never-ending project tongue.gif

My room is barely 10' x 10'..and my table (corner table) is directly opposite of the bed (queen sized)..thus not much space left laugh.gif

I know soundbar is nowhere near proper AV Receiver/Speakers..but that's my best for my current space

Even for future plans I don't think I'll be willing to splurge..I'm not a big audiophile..just casual and wanting a decent sound

How much did u get it for? From the review it looks good especially the open air design where it allows air flow to the ears. Tried wearing those noise canceling full cup headphones and my ears sweat bollocks after a while.

hows the sound equality and how comfortable is it?
