What do you think about the price in Malaysia? RM499 is a bit overprice for me.

The suggested retail price in NA is USD80 that works out to MYR336. If you plus in GST and shipping an extra of 163 is not much. I would say its about fair.

As you probably know by now Nintendo don't officially sell their product here... also once it's release you will probably see people selling it here for 650 to 700.

Not cheap... And most important those that buy it won't even play much of the game. Kids this day won't have the patients to play fame like this. Same situation as the Nes classic in the end is the parents buying for their own only.

You are right. I compare with my preorder NES classic price, I only paid RM320 for console and extra controller which only around US75 (US retail price is US60+US10=US70) which I only paid extra US5.

Most of us buy it as collection only. Do they really spend time on playing it? I don't think so.

Collector's items, we did play the NES mini initially but get bored soon after and a hassle to take out and put into the box. I have pre-ordered SNES mini as well for the games that can't be played with the everdrive on my original SNES.

Yalor, they should have included ISS Deluxe & Top Gear 2, 2 of my favourite 2 players games played with my brothers last time. But luckily, I can play them with my everdrive on my original SNES.

I read somewhere the US version selling in Malaysia is actually Asian version without the power adaptor.

Ya, Europe/Australia version has softer design, that is why I also ordered Jap version as well (same design as Europe/Australia version) and have diff games as well.

I do hope our Asian version will have the big poster like the US version of the NES mini since it is the same design except for no power adaptor.

Very tempting to pre-order one. But one thing that bothers me is whether the controller cord is long enough to be comfortable. hmm.gif
Or maybe there are third party controller(with longer cord) sold somewhere?

It's a 16-bit system. Depends on what games you're playing of course. But since I want to play through Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy I rather just get the US version.
