How bad is their service anyway? In what term?
Doesn't felt like read those looooong comment in the forum.

I dont think it is something that u can do anything about it though, based on other people experiences on the Asus warranty thread.. I personally dunno though since I never own any Asus laptop before. sweat.gif

In my opinion, u better buy msi laptop since their warranty in my opinion is a bit better than Asus & I can tell u how exactly msi warranty service generally is... icon_idea.gif However, u have to accept their warranty void sticker policy...

Or maybe, if u really wanna that Asus laptop that bad, try buying it from trusted seller who can really help u with warranty stuff in case u face any issue. Honestly, I dunno who is the best reseller for Asus laptop though who can help with warranty stuff. U may ask around here in the forum if u really wanna that Asus laptop that bad..

I am currently eyeing hp omen 15 with gtx 1050 Ti. As far i know this model equipped with 120Hz FHD IPS screen. When i googling around i saw Omen 17 also comes with 120Hz FHD IPS and GSync. Anyone know about this?

4 model only for Malaysia, which is

1. i7-7700/4GBDDR4/GTX1050/1TB/15.6-IPS-FHD
2. i7-7700/8GBDDR4/GTX1050/1TB+128M.2/15.6-IPS-FHD
3. i7-7700/8GBDDR4/GTC1050Ti/1TB+128M.2/15.6-IPS-FHD-120HZ
4. i7-7700/8GBDDR4/GTX1070/1TB+256M.2/17.3-IPS-FHD-120Hz

1 to 3 is Omen 15. Number 4 is Omen 17. For Omen 17 I am not sure available for MY or not. Those with GTX 1060 Max-Q version wont be available for MY.

I quote back my previous reply on another thread containing brief explanation about g-sync:

" ... G-sync is meant to solve the screen tearing issue by limiting the fps to the monitor's refresh rate and at the same time help to fix or reduce stuttering ingame due invariable fps, resulting a smooth gameplay. G-sync actually will not benefit from high fps that can be achieved ingame (especially for high end gpu like gtx1060& above) becoz it limits the fps to function as intended. I do have g-sync capable laptop & I can say the gameplay experience is waay smoother from non-g-sync PC. If u really want to get the benefit of g-sync and at the same time wanna get the best high fps ingame, u have to get a laptop with 120hz panel with g-sync to get the both mentioned benefits. However there will be some sacrifices if u wanna both benefits at the same time in gaming laptop .... "

Hi guys I'm looking to buy a laptop with decent specs. I'm looking into Omen right now.. but would like to know if there are any known issues with the current Omen model?

Take dell 7567 for example, the TN panel sucks.

Thanks.

HP Omen Fantastic performance, beautiful display with 144hz refresh rate and slim bezels, stylish appearance, sturdy build quality, customizable keyboard backlighting, loud audio output, dedicated microphone jack
Cons: Arrow keys are too small, average battery life, tends to get hot with long gaming hours.

1. Only the 1060 6GB model has 144Hz IPS, the rest has low sRGB 60Hz IPS
2. I shall mention that the keyboard feels great to type on. Very impressed
3. Omen dc actually has 70Wh battery option which can last 7-8 hrs but HP Malaysia didn't include it (52Wh)
4. The fan is set too slow in older BIOS, causing high hardware temps+surface temps while under load. Now OK aldy

7567 uses low end TN

NTSC is just one aspect in panel quality
