hi, Any one heard about the U3 thumb drive?is a new technology thumb drive tat u can install the program u wan into the drive not like the normal thumb drive only can store the data inside, this new technology U3 thumb drive can let u install any software inside ur drive like an external harddisk. when u using others ppl pc they don hv the software u wan, u can jus ez plug in ur U3 thumb drive and open it and use the programme u installed into ur U3 thumb drive.
Anyone interest on this new technology U3 thumb drive?wan to kno the price?jus PM me if u interested.
Store your data and carry software applications!
Imagine carrying your software on the same flash drive that carries your files. That's what you can do with a U3 smart drive. You can plug it into any PC and work, play a game, message friends, send email, edit photos and more. A U3 smart drive makes any PC your own PC. And when you unplug it, it leaves no personal data behind.

QUOTE(super macgyver @ Apr 5 2007, 04:19 PM) How about the speed of it? I have a U3 enabled drive. But I uninstalled the U3 software. Before that, whenever i plug in my thumbdrive, the U3 with auto lanch and show all your applications installed on your thumbdrive. A BIG NO-NO during formal presentations.

Somehow, I'd acheive the same feature using an odinary thumbdrive. Many applications today wills till work even if you copied it in the thumbdirve outside it's installation directory. Opera, Mirc, Firefox, Bitcomet, FlashGet, FTP Manager, all of this are in my thumbdrive and I just run it straight from the thumbdrive.

i find the U3 very annoying, there's no way to delete it on the spot. even if u cleared the whole thumbdrive, the software will come back.
until i did a search, and found many people wanna wipe out the junk U3 for good. and until U3 itself they release a proper format software to let you permanently delete the u3.
