Just in case you are not clear with the auction system.
Here I explain the auto-bid system by Yahoo Auction.

(1)
If the starting bid is 300yen. And no one else bid the item,
Example, if the Ali set bid it at 20,000yen.
Then Ali has the chance to get it with 300yen, if no one else is interested with it.

(2)
But, if Ah Beng bid with 3,800yen, then it will automatically increase to 3,900yen for Ali. The winner is still Ali.

(3)
Again, if Ah Lim increase the bid to 10,000yen, then the system will set 10,500yen for Ali automatically.
If no one else bid for this item, 
Then Ali have to pay only 10,500yen at the end of the bid. Even if he set 20,000yen as the bid at the beginning.

Hope this solve your questions.

The smallest increment is
10yen for price below 1,000yen, else
100yen for price below 5,000yen, else
250yen for price below 10,000yen, else
500yen for price below 50,000yen,
1,000yen for price above 50,000yen
