Dead Admin,

I wish to provide an idea where those who have opened an account or have a star under the avatar not be allowed to open a topic. This will ensure the following...

1) duplicate/troll accounts have no means of creating unnecessary drama as we have seen last week. this cuts the workload of moderators.

2) this will push new members to head to RWI and other sub forums and to learn how to "forum" with proper etiquette. also this helps to push readership in other sub forums.

3) once they have gotten the necessary stars their ability to open topics will be allowed.


what do you think?

I would think that individuals or groups known to create discord whether direct or indirectly not be allowed to create even dupe accounts.

It is not a perma ban if they can just come back with dupes

Admins, se7en, etc

SUGGEST to enable block viewing of low post count users, since there are so many dups, cyber troopers, trollers, scammers, spammers whose post count under 100.

Perhaps limit the access to at least 2 stars and above?

-impose posts/threads created by newly created accounts/bots go through mod review/approval
-one week cooldown then remove mod review

se7en do look into this. it's beginning to be a blight in our forum.

I have a low post count, but my account was created 10 years ago, does that mean my access will be limited if this were to be implemented?

my solution is actually posted after yours.

There will be certain people that will play around that loophole, create new account and wait for a certain time frame, then flood the board by opening thread after thread
