I used to think like that till I become employer.

try taking care of the whole department and see. U treat employee well they started comparing with each other, even the low performing one will expect best treatment from u irregardless. When u treat lazy stupid shit well the hard workers felt neglected and end up everyone sama sama lazy. Towards the end no matter how well u treat them they will still feel they are not being treated right.

Maybe some other country u can be good boss la, but in Malaysia where laziness is so rampant it's just impossible to be good to them peasant shit
