Another difference between iP7 and iP+ is that iP7+ follows the setting of iPad. That is, iP7+ allows landscape mode and split screen, a big plus if you mount your phone horizontally in the car.

(Correct me if I am wrong. I remember this from comparison I did long ago.)

IPhone 7 plus can split screen like ipad now?

I think for iphone 7 there is no official way from Apple but only using 3rd party app like browser or jailbreak. I know for a fact, the split screen works on my iPad Air 2 as it was a feature since  iOS 9
*
Indeed I’m aware. Just that the previous forummer said iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 11 can have the split screen. Thus I’m abit baffled.

Yes. Was using these on my iPads for years.

Indeed battery life kinda sucks for me too - 7 plus.

Will update to 11.0.1 and check for a few days before deciding to revert to 10.3.3 (provided Apple has not stopped signing it)

Kinda like the ios 11 control center now and the post taking screenshot feature. A breeze to edit and send to others in whatsapp.

11.0.1 no improvement for you? Seems to get a lot of positive feedbacks from others https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-11...issues.2072846/

Will update tonight and see how it goes.

You'll see an initial battery drain in a few hours or day depending on the data on your phone as the OS is re-indexing stuff. Give it a few more days and do a battery calibration once.

I did a beta test on 11 never had a bad battery life on my 7+. When the official 11 came out, I did a fresh install and restore from iCloud. Then comes 11.0.1 OTA update and battery is the same.

Now testing iOS 11.1 PB1 and looks more stable than 11.0.1

How to perform the battery calibration.

Any of you guys that successfully revert their ios to 10.3 can guide me? MY set global or gsm ?
*
And the reason you want to downgrade is..?

battery. Just that my friend. 10.3 lasted my battery whole day with active social networking.
ios 11 didn't even last till night.

iOS 11.0.1 has improved the battery performance.

Give it a try before going to the drastic measures of downgrading.

I updated to latest 11.0.1 already. Maybe I will try 11.1 beta instead.  tongue.gif

Since you are using 7+ and not 7, i supposed no matter how bad the battery is, it can still last you one day. I wouldn't downgrade until there's really major bug that can't be sorted out etc. Not for the battery alone.

Well to each their own. smile.gif

Much improvement on the battery on ip7, iOS 11.0.1

Overnight drop was 1% last night.

It does need a few days to 'settle in' and normalise.

Indeed. Can see some marginal improvement since I've updated to 11.0.1.

Overnight drop was quite insignificant compared to 11
I also additionally turn off certain background app refresh as per some online battery saving tips. Ie. Youtube

From what I read. The ios 11 backup taken cannot be restored to a ios 10 device (if we downgrade)

How do u restore the backup after you revert to ios 10?

I also did not see why the bluetooth/wifi issue with the control center is off concern as I do not turn them off. Period.

If we have to turn off them regularly to conserve battery then might as well I throw the phone away. LOL. Back to 2010 era.
