I just got the iPhone 7 yesterday after using Samsung for the past 3 years and the changes from iPhone 4 (first iPhone) was extraordinary but still not getting used to the absence of the back button and notification bar on the top.

Anyone knows if there's possibility to migrate WhatsApp chats from Android to iOS and vice versa? (Lost 3 years of conversations in minutes since I'm unable to restore the chats from my S7)

When I opened that program, it doesn't seem to detect both my S7 and iPhone.

Btw, the trial version only allows 20 messages sadly

But, I'll keep that in mind when I change my phone next time, perhaps it'll be a feature in Move to iOS or another app. rolleyes.gif

You mean Move to iOS not for Whatsapp?

Damn, I should've planned that in advance but oh well, I think I had way too many conversations stored in the phone that was taking up a lot of space.

What he meant was you could find someone that wants to do the same like you so that you could buy one license but share amongst yourself. Moving over from android to IOS is easier than vice versa. Because once you are used to IOS, you cant go back to android.
*
Owh, ok. I get it now but time wasn't on my side as I had to sell my S7 on the same day hence not enough time to migrate WhatsApp over.

Why is that so? I'm using Android for work now.

Once you get too used to IOS, its hard to move back over to Android like apps and your other stuff.
*
I agree, I keep swiping the notification bar to enable/disable wifi because that was the feature in Android.

QUOTE(kamikraze @ Jul 27 2017, 12:10 PM)
yep.. Move to IOS is for normal stuff like contact, sms..
that's not an issue as the Backuptrans is software installed on Pc. whatsapp content stored from Android into Pc, then restored into IOS. So no need to have both android and ios side by side..
*
Hmm, ok..

Yeah, ok. But I copied Android backup in my Google Drive, is it still possible for me to do it later? The WhatsApp in my iPhone is still pretty empty so I don't mind emptying it again.

How can I download the WhatsApp backup data from Google Drive?

Not possible. Google Drive backup for whatsapp only for android. You need restore into android phone before you can use backuptran into ios..
*
Yeah, I just checked.

I still have another phone at home running Android, is it possible to install WhatsApp there with the SIM still in my iPhone, but when the verification code arrive, it'll be in my iPhone right?

Or the SIM has to be in the Android phone as well?

I’m not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but after using the 3.5mm to lightning adapter for my earphones, I’ve been experiencing disconnection which I think is coming from the adapter that’s probably damaged since it’s bent now and then.

I’m looking for suggestions if I should get Bluetooth earphones or just get a replacement for the adapter?

Thanks.

I don't rely on wired nowadays as many devices are having the bluetooth connectivity. So I would suggest bluetooth earphones, if budget permits.
*
Wired is always the best since there's no interference but too bad I have to use the adapter.

Ok, looks like I'll have to look out for Bluetooth ones.

if still under warranty, should ask for replacement.

if not mistaken, what comes in the original box is included in the warranty.
*
Ok, will check with Celcom since I bought mine from there.

Maybe it’s your Bluetooth device?

I'm using the Xiaomi Bluetooth sports earphones.

Anyone else here using it or experience call quality issues with their Bluetooth devices?

Are you referring to signal clarity or sound quality or handfree for calls etc?

It should work fine if within 10m of unobstructed view between phone to bluetooth earphones.
*
For music, it's fine.

It sounds as if the person is in a closed up room, I can hear them but it's not sharp.

My phone is in my pocket, that should be less than 1m.

Mine works well on Remax, Iriz HU and Petronas Stereo BT for calls and music...

Have you tried on other devices? If it’s the same on another BT decice, looks like a visit to Apple is required...
*
I haven't tried with another BT headset, but with other BT devices like my smartwatch or car radio, no problem there.

I don't connect them simultaneous so there's no signal interference.

Regarding my previous post about my BT earphones sound quality and now the occurence of static/popping sounds that seems to coming from my phone, not the earphones.

Since I got it from Celcom, should I refer back to Celcom?

No. If your phone is still under official Apple warranty, go to any authorized Apple service center.

Is Machines one of them?

Yup. Can also try Switch and Mac City - depending on which location is convenient and nearest to you.

Yeah, Machines is in the same building as my office.

Do I need to bring the receipt?

Damn, it's barely 3 months and it's having this issue, I hope it's the iOS not the hardware.

Update: just went to Machines, a premium reseller not authorized service center and tested with a pair of Beats X and the clicking sound is still present. However, the staff did not hear it but after turning off location services, the sound went away so I guess that was the main culprit.

Anyone facing their apps crashing and end up on the home screen before?

I'm facing this issue occasionally, I wonder is it because of the latest firmware update.
