Anyone here on XOX? I bought a prepaid sim for my mother-in-law but can't seem to activate iMessage and FaceTime.
*
XOX is not compatible with iMessage and FaceTime. Only 4 major telcos in Malaysia support it.
So if want to use those services, use email. But the other person can only contact via iMessage and FaceTime if they have the person's email only. smile.gif

My iPhone 7 Plus, full charge at 10.30pm, and not even 1% battery drop by 6am. Normal mode, no power saving or Flight mode. biggrin.gif

Well iPhone is good on standby. But if extensively use it, battery drain like hell. biggrin.gif

Ask him what carrier shown up at the top. Mine was easy setup, got a popup message said imessage need to send a sms to verify, I clicked OK. Check at the settings, both imessage and facetime registered after few seconds. No need to restart and all. Mine is iPhone SE with iOS 10.3.3. It should be the same with iPhone 7/+. Also tested on iPhone 5S with iOS 10.2, working normally.

Well it shows MY XOX as the carrier, but the phone number isn't being recognized for FaceTime and iMessage, keeps saying "Waiting For Activation" but nothing happens. Of course can FaceTime and send iMessage using the email address, that one no problem.

Oh, btw, iPhone 5S, running iOS 10.3.3

That is why I felt weird. I thought MVNO telcos cannot use iMessage. My friend said on the top it writes ONEXOX but cannot activate iMessage. So I conclude MVNO telcos cannot use iMessage via mobile no.

Do you manually choose the network or let it automatically set?
Mine is shown MY CELCOM, set it auto. But in my others xox numbers in Nokia 150, 3310 (2017) and G6, they shown XOX or MY XOX. All are auto.

Correction, It's showing MY ONEXOX on the operator bar. When I attempt a network search, Celcom doesn't appear. Just Maxis, U, DiGi and MY ONEXOX.

My IMessage is linked to my email account. I dont use my telco no to link because you will get charged by some telcos for using that previously.

I called them and their customer service asked me to manually key in my phone number into the FaceTime and iMessage setting. I was like what??
