It all comes down to personal preferance tho..  sometimes you may like.. sometimes you dont...personally if you're on tight budget.. Just change ur player first.. Then add in a sub.. you will be amazed with sometimes what stock speakers can give you

My budget is only around rm600 for now as starter. Do you reckon me to change the HU first or front speakers first?

How is the quality of the bass? And how long have you used this?

2 years using it bro.. best all rounder bro.. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

But in order to make it perform well, you need to do soundproof for front door and use mdf or aluminium speaker ring for solid mounting..

Oh right, some people did told me to soundproof first before doing anything else to the ICE system. It does impact the sound huh?

i got a full spec car, touch screen summore.. but cannot play DVD!!! zzzz then steering can control volume n bluetooth.. takkan ask me throw away n buy new double din... so i did this

add 2 channel amp, monoblock, and change the front speaker to component set.

AWESOME RESULT!!!

damage around 3k+!!! T_T

i saw mohawk now have DSP plug n play,
with dsp u no need add amp, it can do the magic well...
that mohawk dsp can be tune using phone or tablet via bluetooth...
easy ma...

but bro... u wont stick here forever...

last i 1st add component speaker with amp,
1 year adi ass itchy jor i go add monoblock n subwoofer hari hari bang till my door wanna drop out serupa apa... lol
then 2 years later got budget now upgrade the component and more power amp...

now c got dsp itchy again...

once u join in u will nvr go back... LOL

Don't add an amp first - your stock head unit won't have low level outputs so you will need to use a shit high level to low level converter or use the high level outputs as inputs into your amp.

If you want to do it step by step:

First change front speakers - preferably splits (genuine focal speakers are awesome).

Second - Dynamat your front doors

Third change your headunit (Pioneer / Alpine / Sony)

Then put in an Amp

Then Sub

Then rear speakers
