QUOTE(ameyhazuan @ Sep 21 2018, 03:41 AM) I paid a premium price but didn't get premium car. Poor assembly. Day 1 already got rattling sound. Sent 3 times to sc still can't solve. Rattling sound spreading to other area. Getting annoyed with the car. Not many features compared to honda city. I better off with my gen2. Even not many features but still fun to drive. Vios isn't premium price i believe... Premium would be merz, lexus and etc... But they have issues as well |

QUOTE(cyew86 @ Feb 4 2019, 11:21 AM) No love for New 2019 Vios? Seems like nobody is talking about it here Could be new CITY is coming in 2020From the review, seems like UMW has learned its lesson and starts throwing in all the bells and whistles to compete against City, and the reviews have been positive as well (aside from the opinion dividing front design). What are your thoughts? |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Apr 7 2019, 08:38 AM) You guys scary service complaints (liars, unreliable) and scary car quality (here got sound, there got loosing parts ) really....scare me. It sounds like Toyota (or should say, Vios) is nothing better than a Perodua or Proton. This made me wondering why so many people willing to pay an extra 50%-70% extra car price to get a Toyota instead of Perodua as they got the exact same engine, and the car body is not any better according to your complaints. Perodua service center has no much problem, they follow the Perodua service schedule, no liar, and for quite many parts if you don't follow they also never threaten to forfeit warranty. And Myvi has quite minimum maintenance costs for a 10 year owning experience, very few parts required to change and the car runs just fine. Bro, forum is a place to look for answers. Definitely those with issues came and look for answers. There are so many on the roads. The best way is to visit the SC and see any issue. All cars definitely have lemon units. Is Toyota or Vios really that bad? Really? You pay 50-70% more is mostly about the overall driving experience. That is the overall driving experience and build quality. Oh, for foreign car, the repair costs are quite minimal also, probably 30-50rm higher only. I owned perodua, proton and foreign cars. Sorry to say. If you dont exclude those unnecessary items, proton and perodua will hit 300-450 one time service. See vios costs from Toyota to believe https://toyota.com.my/media/document/attach...os-Maxcheck.pdf Warranty - It depends on which sc that you went, my sc that went said if two times didn't go service at them then warranty will be voided. Local cars also have major service that costs close to 1000 or more than 1000rm if you service at sc. But you can't compare the price if you are not going to sc. Toyota also can service outside especially vios. These day myvi also expensive. 54k for a local brand and you can easily get a jazz or yaris during year end or Raya promo for 65k. Everyone, you can refer to Toyota website for the costs and take to sc and show them what to change. Sc wants to earn more money and add more addons.

QUOTE(ameyhazuan @ Apr 8 2019, 02:20 PM) #hightechgadgets8# LOL, i will if i owned one. You might get a lemon unit. Did you raise to tribunal? It is true no car is perfect. But the issue is, how tolerance are we as the owner to own something below our expectations? We are here to share info. Bashing also an info. It shows the owner's frustration. However, there are some people who simply bash because they hate the brand especially local cars. Even the car hasn't been launched, they already start bashing. It really annoyed to see people bashing something they didn't owned. Everyone entitled to their own opinion. If you dislike the forum member, you can scroll and skip their posting, it's an easy task. You don't even have to write a letter. If you see a bashing post, see how it was triggered. In the recent case, there was a member asking question. The answer may sound bashing to you but it answered the question. Please be open minded. Most of us came here to seek answers and helping others. No point open up forum and bash everyday like has nothing to do. We are civilized people, respect each other. No need to attack and provoke people. |

QUOTE(hightechgadgets8 @ Apr 8 2019, 11:27 AM) Yes bro, agreed with what you said. All cars got lemon units and can be fix. Thats why don't buy car like you are buying perfect cars. Those cars also got qc but not 100% perfect. Try to buy Ferrari and of course the service is there. Take note that buying a H and T car is almost same like buying Proton and Perodua. X70 is 100k and Aruz is 70k. So T and H is no longer so called premium. I own Vios last year, City 2019 and myvi 2018. I can say that all cars have small issues. Myvi 2018 - the engine or NVH is not good compare to vios. But i know that i paid 40k and get 40k quality. For city, the sensor is not working sometimes, but still acceptable to me. Because i lower my expectations. I accept the issues den only buy after reading through this forum. If cant live with the issues, better sell the car rather than complaint or live with it. |

QUOTE(Superman07 @ Apr 9 2019, 10:35 AM) I was going through the forums on Honda City, it's much more scary. LOL! As long as the problem is accessories where after replacement it will be alright or some small sound here and there then not to worry too much. The big problems will be engine or gearbox failures like VW, Peugeot and etc. where those you really need to worry. I dont know why everybody saying vios and city got issue while there is not much issue from my end for both. Or perhaps, I dont consider those rattling sound (so far not yet appear) are not issues?Every car bound to have some small things every now and then so long it is not consistently spoilt or well-known for that specific problems then you are good to go. |

QUOTE(piglover @ Apr 9 2019, 02:13 PM) Haha. Well. I have one proton saga sv and its jerking since first day, engine mounting rosak after 4 years plus. These are issues but i accepted them. I lowered my expectations since 34k car. Its ok bro. Even my city got sensor issue after two months but after two three days the sensor back to normal. For vios, the rattling is there but i bear with it.It's about setting up expectations and doing research before buy it. I believe all cars have own issues especially rattling as Malaysian roads are uneven. Once you set the right expectations, all cars are your dream cars and you can enjoy your ride This post has been edited by sonicmaster: Apr 9 2019, 08:30 PM |

QUOTE(rgchai @ Apr 16 2019, 03:11 PM) I have the same feeling too, disappointed with Toyota quality. My Vios 2015 comes with 3 years warranty. First few months driving found out minor 'tick' sound inside dashboard. Toyota test it and found out it's due to the airbag cable not arranged properly and it's knocking other parts inside dashboard. Toyota open the whole dashboard to fix it. Honda civic has worst steering rack issue, more expensive and yet so many ppl bought itAfter 2 years, realized my front window has bubbles around the border inside the window. Complaint to Toyota and they said is manufacturing defect, helped me to claim under warranty to replace the whole front window. After 3 years of driving and out of warranty, I realized a minor short 'tick' sound when start to turn steering from static, happening intermittently. Drive to Toyota to test, and told me need to replace the Steering Rack. Just passed the warranty for about 4 months and can't claim under warranty. The replacement of steering rack plus labor cost about RM3.6k+. My car only at less then 50,000 km mileage but the steering rack needed for replacement? So this is Toyota quality - the steering rack could failed in 3 years time! I did emailed to Toyota support (customersupport@toyota.com.my) to request to claim under Warranty but no reply from them. The customer service told me they had replaced few steering racks on this model, seemed like this model mostly having common issue. I felt reluctance to pay for it, maybe wait for it to become more serious only to replace it. Who knows... if I replace it and maybe need to replace again by next 3 years? So it's about RM1.2K extra maintenance cost yearly for a new car? Sound worst then maintaining an old car! Last time I drove Myvi for 9 years never has any issue before. By conclusion, you can see that the Vios is not longer has good QC and parts quality as before. If anyone has idea on how to take further action on this apart from just pay RM3.6K to fix the steering rack please comment. Thank you. QUOTE(ameyhazuan @ Apr 17 2019, 10:08 PM) For me, i vouch for honda as the brand provides more functions in their car. It is already expected, no car is perfect. Are you sure you will go for a car with clear issue since you already cant accept small issue of vios? Same class, Altis vs Civic, I choose civic for the look and functions. |

QUOTE(ameyhazuan @ Apr 17 2019, 11:37 PM) yes, then you will find me in civic thread.. Yes bro, set your expectations den you will live happier. Maybe u wil have better experience on honda or maybe worst experience.I came to an agreement that no car is perfect. All depends how tolerate are you with the problems. My other foreign cars also got problem. But it solvable by their respective SC, so no issue raised. Unlike Toyota with Vios specifically, still unsolvable. Since I don't owned Honda, no experience yet. Maybe one day or maybe not at all since I already got my first Japanese car. |
