I paid a premium price but didn't get premium car. Poor assembly. Day 1 already got rattling sound. Sent 3 times to sc still can't solve. Rattling sound spreading to other area. Getting annoyed with the car. Not many features compared to honda city. I better off with my gen2. Even not many features but still fun to drive.

I'm just drive my vios about 2 month, it already after 1st service, but why my car fuel consumption is very low till now? it's about 280-300km per tank.

But i got change the rims to 17", will it effect much on this mod?

From the review, seems like UMW has learned its lesson and starts throwing in all the bells and whistles to compete against City, and the reviews have been positive as well (aside from the opinion dividing front design). What are your thoughts?

You guys scary service complaints (liars, unreliable) and scary car quality (here got sound, there got loosing parts ) really....scare me. It sounds like Toyota (or should say, Vios) is nothing better than a Perodua or Proton. This made me wondering why so many people willing to pay an extra 50%-70% extra car price to get a Toyota instead of Perodua as they got the exact same engine, and the car body is not any better according to your complaints. Perodua service center has no much problem, they follow the Perodua service schedule, no liar, and for quite many parts if you don't follow they also never threaten to forfeit warranty. And Myvi has quite minimum maintenance costs for a 10 year owning experience, very few parts required to change and the car runs just fine.

It is true no car is perfect. But the issue is, how tolerance are we as the owner to own something below our expectations?

We are here to share info. Bashing also an info. It shows the owner's frustration. However, there are some people who simply bash because they hate the brand especially local cars. Even the car hasn't been launched, they already start bashing. It really annoyed to see people bashing something they didn't owned.

Everyone entitled to their own opinion. If you dislike the forum member, you can scroll and skip their posting, it's an easy task. You don't even have to write a letter.

If you see a bashing post, see how it was triggered. In the recent case, there was a member asking question. The answer may sound bashing to you but it answered the question. Please be open minded.

Most of us came here to seek answers and helping others. No point open up forum and bash everyday like has nothing to do. We are civilized people, respect each other. No need to attack and provoke people.

I was going through the forums on Honda City, it's much more scary. LOL! As long as the problem is accessories where after replacement it will be alright or some small sound here and there then not to worry too much. The big problems will be engine or gearbox failures like VW, Peugeot and etc. where those you really need to worry.

Every car bound to have some small things every now and then so long it is not consistently spoilt or well-known for that specific problems then you are good to go.

Hope your next car is lime unit to experience all defect 😂😂

I have the same feeling too, disappointed with Toyota quality. My Vios 2015 comes with 3 years warranty. First few months driving found out minor 'tick' sound inside dashboard. Toyota test it and found out it's due to the airbag cable not arranged properly and it's knocking other parts inside dashboard. Toyota open the whole dashboard to fix it.

After 2 years, realized my front window has bubbles around the border inside the window. Complaint to Toyota and they said is manufacturing defect, helped me to claim under warranty to replace the whole front window.

After 3 years of driving and out of warranty, I realized a minor short 'tick' sound when start to turn steering from static, happening intermittently. Drive to Toyota to test, and told me need to replace the Steering Rack. Just passed the warranty for about 4 months and can't claim under warranty. The replacement of steering rack plus labor cost about RM3.6k+. My car only at less then 50,000 km mileage but the steering rack needed for replacement? So this is Toyota quality - the steering rack could failed in 3 years time! I did emailed to Toyota support (customersupport@toyota.com.my) to request to claim under Warranty but no reply from them.

The customer service told me they had replaced few steering racks on this model, seemed like this model mostly having common issue. I felt reluctance to pay for it, maybe wait for it to become more serious only to replace it. Who knows... if I replace it and maybe need to replace again by next 3 years? So it's about RM1.2K extra maintenance cost yearly for a new car? Sound worst then maintaining an old car! Last time I drove Myvi for 9 years never has any issue before.

By conclusion, you can see that the Vios is not longer has good QC and parts quality as before. If anyone has idea on how to take further action on this apart from just pay RM3.6K to fix the steering rack please comment.

For me, i vouch for honda as the brand provides more functions in their car. It is already expected, no car is perfect.

Same class, Altis vs Civic, I choose civic for the look and functions.

I came to an agreement that no car is perfect. All depends how tolerate are you with the problems. My other foreign cars also got problem. But it solvable by their respective SC, so no issue raised. Unlike Toyota with Vios specifically, still unsolvable.

Since I don't owned Honda, no experience yet. Maybe one day or maybe not at all since I already got my first Japanese car.
