Dear sifus, was thinking of changing the tyre for mv vios and currently thinking of choosing between Michelin XM2+ and Goodyear Assurance Triple Max 2, can I know all in all, which one is better? smile.gif

Not sure about Goodyear Triple Max 2, but hardly goes wrong with Michelin.

Been using XM2+ (185/60R15) for 2 years, rolling slightly over 30,000KM on it, the tires still thick as new at average of 6.3mm thickness on the rear wheels and 6.0mm for front wheels. Last measured last month after performing wheels rotations and balancing. I do rotations every 10,000KM. All 4 rubbers are changed at same time.

Grip on dry and wet also very good, and still very good until today. I'm not touge driver, only drive fast in highway at 150kmh top once or twice every month.

Road noise is still much better than stock tires. Didnt notice any increment of road noise since day-1 using this rubber until today. Improving NVH a lot in cabin incomparison to stock tires.

Note:
I just realized im in Vios group after writing the whole thing up here, but i hope community here dont mind i sharing my experience with this rubbers on my City. Decided to post it up anyway. Sorry in advance.

If I'm buying a second hand 2021 Vios, am I still entitled for the 5 year warranty?

You can enjoy the ongoing warranty, but not a renewed 5 years.
Check back when is the first JPJ registration date on your VOC, that's the start date of the 5 years warranty.

Thanks for the clarification, is there any document I should get?
*
Get the service booklet if there’s any from previous owner.
After JPJ ownership transferred, send a copy of latest VOC and insurance cover note to Toyota Malaysia (or u may ask Service Centre) to transfer the ownership under your name as official owner.

Continue to service the car under Toyota SC to keep the warranty validity.
