Either you just lie or tell them the truth. They should be able to accept it but they may mark on their job sheet, oil provided by customer. regardless genuine bottle, sealed or not sealed. It has a consequence.

Engine oil if been exposed to air will trap moisture. Unless you are sure contamination is at minimum, you can use that oil for your engine.

Thanks, will try to ask the SO see what can do about it on the next service, few kinda waste, i felt like they won't accept it, unless you send your car outside for service, good to know that oil keep for too long without seal will cause moisture doh.gif

have any of you guys face problem with the car alarm before, when i lock the car- it goes beep beep twice the sound then after 10-15 mins, the alarm gets triggered. It happens intermittently and i've checked all my car doors are closed properly. Appreciate your advise if any of u face this before and how to resolve it, thanks.

Might be the battery problem? I have this kind of problem with Honda cars, i just guessing, what i face before were that inside the car has some mosquito or flies around will cause the alarm trigger or there is a person is inside your car. Another is that the battery is in a weak condition might as well trigger the alarm. Hope it might help smile.gif

Yes, recently raining, will leave smudges, very troublesome to clean up especially when you want to rush for work.
Not to mention the risk of scratches.
Wonder why they don't just rest on the dry part of the floor.

Put some small plates of curry powder around your car porch , this is my method to get rid of those freaking cats from entering my territory brows.gif

Hi guys, i have a question, when do you guys pump your car? When reach E or ????

For me i wait till hit a bit bottom from the E Bar so i can know how much mileage i have run with full tank.

One more thing is when the Fuel Bar reach E, is kinda hard/long on starting the engine, is that a common thing?

Several month ago, i went for my 3rd service at SC, the SO said is better to pump before reach E as if you always hit after E might cause fuel pump problems, is that really a truth or ????

definitely get it checked at SC, still under warranty right.

Aircon smell sometimes can be really bad for your health (ie chemicals), don't risk it.
*
Yeah still under warranty, i did call their SA, they said can check but there is a risk as need to open up the entire dashboard if the problem not come from the air filter, as they need to check the aircon coil inside, the problem is if the dashboard open up the bad think is nextime they scare me will heard a lot of noise like tit tat or what kind of noise come out from the dashboard as now all screws are plastic cant be perfectly unscrew when you decided to open up the dashboard for checking. Haiz.... kinda worry and dono which to do....

SA said problem might come from humid, carpet, perfume or something died inside. Currently i am using trapo mat from the beginning, the carpet 100% no rubber smell, as for perfume i am using glade morning fresh "already remove the perfume" the SA recommend me to remove carpet and perfume this few weeks to test has the smell remain in weeks, since my service coming soon as well. Just hope they is no rain during this time, i scare i might ruin my car carpet with water doh.gif

wah... this SC sounds quite unprofessional ah, open and fix back dashboard will have tik tik sound? means they expect themselves to do a shxxty job of putting back all the parts lo...
I never heard such thing from first party car service lo.

but I do agree disassembling dashboard etc is a big hassle though, maybe that's why they want scare you cos they lazy do.

maybe bring it to other UMW SC?
*
The SA i can say is a good person, servicing very patience will let me know what can i do, but i believe nowadays cars all are using plastic screws/clip only when come to interior ,not like lastime old cars all using better screws/better quality, you know la those mechanics their supervisor arrange their work only where will monitor them service our cars,so how will they do an excellent job when come to disassemble, outside mechanic you can watch them do on spot, when come to service at UMW SC,close the door do those changing oil / filter no one know what they did to our cars cry.gif

I do really scare what they did to my car if i file in the problem when servicing my car bangwall.gif if do outside scare void warranty bangwall.gif

Did you manage to solve your problem ?
*
still have a bit, i have visit an aircon workshop from outside, they said the smell came from the dashboard might bcos my car still new, he said if he take out the cooling coil to do the smell clean out,the smell will still return cannot guarantee me as well, have others car owner also did the cleaning aircon coil service still have this kind of problem after a few months especially Toyota Altis have this kind of problem, the solution that he teach me since you have door visor, open up the window a bit everytime you park your car at home or work to let the air inside flow in and out bcos malaysia weather kinda humid so it is kinda easy to get smell and during weekend park your car outside your home open up all window under the sun for a few hour. Hope the smell will gone soon but now getting a bit only as now i always open tiny bit of my window everytime
