my Vios 2014, had passed the warranty period and personally, I felt that the absorbers are damn soft.. looking for a set of stiffer absorbers... any recommendation?

No intention to lower it at all in order not to sacrifice the comfort too much.

PS. my car had done full car soundproofing (floor pan, car boot, 4 doors, wheel arch, except roof). This is one of the reasons that made the car absorbers felt softer due to the additional gross weight. It also made the car felt sluggish... hahahah

you already had your car sound proof but there are some area you can't cover. having stiffer absorber will caused things in your car to vibrate much harder when you drive on uneven surface. you will get rattling sound from your seats, glove compartment, underneath dashboard and side door windows.
*
soundproof here is for cabin NVH. My "stiffer" absorbers exploration here referring to something harder than current stock setup; guess won't caused too much direct energy transfer to car body. Not even looking at coilovers~ smile.gif

Both braking system has its advantage. Looking for option if the drum brake can be changed.
*
we saw alot cars otr changed their rear drum brake to disc; or even halfcut from other compatible model over.

So, definitely its possible as long as the wheel holes are the same and make sure the disc is not bigger that your current rim size coverage~

What is the advantage for drum brake?
*
in aesthetic point, no visible brake dust on rims~ biggrin.gif

Any idea if toyota service center provides the brake conversion service?
*
don't think SC will do it, look for reliable workshop that provide such service and parts.

Thanks, bro. I saw some youtube video showing how the rear drum brake was converted to disc brake. It takes about an hour.
More concern on the reliability therefore checking if toyota will do this with cost for the Vios owner upon request.
*
realiability wont be an issue if you able to find the stock parts; which is basically plug and play

If void warranty, better use for 5 years first only convert. Since now still new, use first. I found the brake quite good.
For J spec, the ABS is cover 4 wheel?
*
nowadays Toyotas are covered with 5 years warranty? mine was only 3 years... bought the FL version in end 2013.

Anyone with 2019/2020 Vios G spec changed their tyres from the original size (195/50R16) to a slightly bigger  size but still use back the original 16inch rims?
what tyre size did you change to? does 205/50R16 fit?
*
your ODO is configured in accordance to your tyre size.

If you wish to get increase the size by using the same rim 16; following is the reading variance:

if you upsize to 17's following is the options with reading variance:

in this case, stick to your stock size, I would recommend.

front lower arms

TRW ouside around RM150 per side.

nowadays original toyota parts are pricey, nearing the parts price of those C segment and above.

Anyone faced the same issue with me?
My car got this crack crack sound when I’m steering the car wheel, but only when I’m fetching people
*
cracking noise upon steering normally is steering rack issue; can be only just the tie end rod; which would be a smaller part to repair vs the whole rack.

need advise on my AC100 Vios, E spec.

ran through a pothole and my rear right tire burst - have to replace and cannot be repaired.

few questions:-
1) how much is the fair price per donut for the 17"; and
2) is it OK to just change the damaged tire or i NEED to change at least two (the other tire on the same axle).

thanks in advance.
*
17" easily RM300+ per piece; depending on the size and brand/model.

but normally stock size is odd ones, hence the hefty price.

normally need to change 2 at a time to have a more balance thread wear utilization; unless the other one is still spanking new

hope this helps.
