my own suggestion based on experience after bought my E spec:
1. Open your trunk boot then close it with a little bit more force, you may repeat it several times. after some hours (better off your car) then check your reverse camera got darker or not. i am facing camera connection problem, changed it free after complain to SC.

2. check all USB and HDMI cable if possible. i realise the USB not function after i bought the car for 2 months, just the fuse broken but still annoy.

3. Stock tyre usually continental cc5, but made year 2018. Depend your preference but i don't like new made tyre.

4. This is not an issue, but the car interior have total 3 clocks: odometer, dvd-avx and DVR, don't forget to set it before you use lol...

5. Don't ever buy some shiny/bright color dashboard cover, you will feel the pain under sunlights.

6. Make sure your manual leveling headlamp is function. Mines ok but i heard a lot of others car brand friends not realise the defect, just in case.

regardless any specs, sooner or later you will face it. all depends on your luck. throughout all the variant, base build is the same. mine is g and i got the rattling sound from dashboard on day 1. now got many sound all around me. those sound hard to trace as it is intermittent and depends on variable road condition.

Just got my new white Vios! Didn't see any defects i think..
Can't really see the yellow/white between the bumper and body though (maybe need more light, as i collected in the evening).
Rear door floor plastic cover is slightly loose i think but both sides are the same?
Can it be fixed? Or it's designed like that?

For me, my rear dashcam cost about rm 350, front dashcam rm 600 and micro sd 128gb memory at xxx during lazada / Shopee sale.

Pls check with toyota sales advisor or service advisor.
I got my front dashcam from sale advisor, and 4x sport rim from service advisor.

For rear dashcam, I got it from accessories shop with installation and 1 year warranty. Power socket extended to rear, double sided, plug connector and use.. No cut wire, or modify wire.

If you want your dashcam act as cctv when car engine is power off, dashcam got 5v power supply from car battery with proper grounding connection. Check it out with dashcam sifu.

My standalone dashcam is operating when car power is turn on.  Will be off when car power is off.

GX sport rim cost about 15xx in year 2018. Used back 4x tires.

GR-S sport 17 inch,  need to change new 4X  17 inch tires.. More costly..

I’m considering between a Vios facelift (E spec) or a X50 (Executive spec).

What I can see after test drive is, the Vios is a very “normal” car. The X50 has a wow factor.

But Vios RM5k cheaper, can get in 1 month, is reliable, comes with tint.

X50 best selling point for me is that I feel it is different to drive and has style.

What should I go with?

I have yet to figure out which part exactly is rattling. Initially my car is quite quiet. But now the rattling noise is getting more. It feels like the car is going to dismantle when the road surface is uneven. Didn't expect the build quality is as such. But I guess many vios owners suffer from this. See many ppl complain this problem as well in the FB group..

It won't be called vios anymore since using DNGA platform. Probably launching Q1 2023
