QUOTE(LuQEE @ Mar 22 2022, 01:26 AM) Hi guys. try s turn. let d wheel climb up bump one by one.I have a question. I got a vios 2021 facelift edition G Spec. Currently im having the “sagat” issue when hitting the speedbumps, even at very low speed, especially at the rear, when more than 3 ppl riding the car(overweight). Worst case, if the speedbump is very high, we can hear the scraping sound in the middle area of the car. Is this normal? Any recommendations to solve this issue? |

QUOTE(my44 @ Mar 20 2022, 09:16 PM) Speaking of half cut, can NCP93 original 1.5L engine take smaller Toyota engine? That is assuming I can find one lah. Just wondering since other countries have 1.2L Vios/Yaris/Belta coz their fuel cost a lot (Thailand, Philippines). survey 2nzfeWhile 1.5 has served me well when this Vios was young, now that it has become my 2nd car, I feel jimat petrol would be nice for grocery runs and short distance drives. |

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Mar 23 2022, 08:28 PM) Unfortunately, been doing it all the time if theres a full load of ppl in the car. spring =directly affect car height <<<<must buy longer one with same/ stronger kg-mm rateBut find it hard to do it at narrow/busy roads and if i stumbled on really high/unregulated speedbumps(which ppl do it themselves in front of their house), mmg confirm scraping issue occurs. Does this means i need to change to stiffer rear suspension and heighten my car height? |

QUOTE(Cookie101 @ Jun 24 2022, 09:42 PM) There’s this little extra vibration when stationed and not moving on the steering. That’s why asked to check to why is that and it happened just few days ago. easy test. step on gas pedal a bit. make rpm between 1500-2500That’s why the feedback from sc. vibrate or not. this proves absorber is not related QUOTE(zeng @ Jun 24 2022, 10:45 PM) Sensing vibration on steering wheel at stationary whilst not moving? want bersangka baik sc help fix but this case cannot at all.At stationary the vehicle shock absorbers and its dampers (including springs etc), being part of suspension system are not in 'working' operation >> hence cannot be causing steering wheel to vibrate. For that matter, even a badly unbalanced wheels(tyre and rim) cannot be causing a steering wheel to vibrate with car at stationary. If I were you, I would 'sack' this SC and pay a visit to a known bawah pokok outside mechanic to check whether the engine rubber mountings are the culprit or not. gg |

QUOTE(James Cheang @ Jun 29 2022, 05:09 PM) Dear sifus, was thinking of changing the tyre for mv vios and currently thinking of choosing between Michelin XM2+ and Goodyear Assurance Triple Max 2, can I know all in all, which one is better? triple max 2. the lifespan is short prepare to replace every 30k odogrip is good even dry n wet road 90' corner limit can reach 70kph road noise is fine to me. air pressure need to pam a lot in order to perform normally xm2 plus. lifespan is very long. eco friendly we dont expect high grip. dangerous corner limit between 40-50kph. silence than avg taya in market Chyan and James Cheang liked this post

QUOTE(zeng @ Jun 30 2022, 12:59 PM) 40-50 kph 'max' only at 90 degree turn/corner for an XM2 only.? u corner kaki too. among comfort taya i like bs turanza & triple max...and Triple max can go higher speeds? So tyre models/brands still matters a lot in higher cornering speeds? No wonder I find it hard to go higher speed than 40-50 kph with XM2. Do you think dropping tyre pressure from 40 psi would help with faster cornering speed? I'd been planning to adjust my front cambers more negative to say -1.00 to -1.50 degree during next alignment job. 60kph just layan a piece of cake. aim for advan ad08 yes very grippp downside is rough ride, extra noises This post has been edited by ktek: Jun 30 2022, 07:44 PM zeng liked this post

objective to increase air pressure is ensure tyre is fully contact on floor.
so my own method is begin from front wheel. keep on increase kpa until no eeeeekkk noise at malls simen parking lot. after that reduce 5kpa enough make d slightest squeeze noise. remember this optimum value rear wheel pam according to corner limits. increase kpa until a moment it get worse. we reduce backward & save forever. |
