QUOTE(Manufacture @ Mar 27 2008, 08:55 PM) Depends on the type of arowana. a fully matured arowana, suitable for breeding should be 5 or 6 years. but the true colours and type of the aro should be determined when its 1 or 2 years. ooic... any one know how to breed aros.. can share some experience? i know some... infomation only.. nvr try b4 |

QUOTE(madstone @ Mar 29 2008, 11:00 PM) Things to prepare before transferring the aro thx bro.. may i know where u get the air pump.. wat air pump u using? buy fr FS? anf oso the stabilizer..when u buy? how much?1. Fish Stabilizer 2. 3 big plastics. Can ask for free from local fish shop (FS). 1 for catching the fish from the tank. Another 2 to put the aro later. Double layer of plastics. 3. Air pump to pump air into the plastic after you put the aro inside. Bigger pump the better coz can fill the plastic faster. a - Reduce water level from aro tank enough for the aro to swim. Better fill the water into the plastic where you want to put the aro later. Make sure the water level in the plastic is not too much. I think 3/4 of the plastic should be enough. b - Put fish stabilizer into the tank to make the aro calm. After few minutes can see the aro swim slowly & can touch the aro. c - Catch the aro using that 1 plastic slowly & put it into the double layer plastic slowly. Fill the plastic with air & bind the plastic with a rope. Make sure u bind the 1st layer plastic first & then bind both 1 layer & 2 layer plastic together. d - Place the plastic in horizontal position. e - Place the plastic in a horizontal container. Toyogo got long container. Make sure the plastic can fit the container. f - Put in the back seat of the car. I think that's the steps i've done when selling my Pearl Jardini. Anyone who feel want to add, please do so. tQ This post has been edited by spirit of demon: Mar 30 2008, 03:44 AM |

QUOTE(Dddrive @ Mar 31 2008, 04:07 AM) Hi all arowana sifus, erm.. first.. i wan to know tat.. u wan to keep so many types for breeding or wat.. i think the chance to get mix breed is vr low.. i nvr heard that.. if u juz wan to decorate ur aquarium... it is advisable tat u keep one bigger size(but not too big, slightly bigger) silver arowana in ur tank... this is bcoz silver arowana is less firece than other type of aros.. n if wan to keep them... u better keep more than 6 aros together... it is not garantee they dun fight.. but the chance they fight n injured will reduced... this is all based on my own experience.. anyone if think i m wrong.. pls correct me...Wondering if we can mix like 2 or 3 types of arowana together like green and black pearl together ? want to ask b4 go buy later fight to death sakit wallet |
