market prawn also good for your aro
especially if your aro got color like Super Red eg market prawn also got protein i've tried fed my red jar (pearl aro with red spots) wif market prawn but not too big la it's hard for the guy to swallow if the prawn's too big cut into small pieces, than yummy! |

My Giant Kaloi died last week (still a question on why it died?) and now my tank is empty. I am looking to get into Arowana. Any suggestion what should I look for when it comes to choosing Arowana. I have a 3ft tank.
Do Arowana eat pallet food as well. What other fish can I mix with? Thanks. |

QUOTE(c0c0nut @ May 7 2007, 05:45 PM) basically it depends to you.....some ppl might go for color instead of shape...so u must say i want this ...not other ppl...things to look out.... agreed.. but if cheaka is low on budget.. can make do with the tank for now and change later.. regardless of whatever ppl tell u.. the most important fact is whether u like it or not... some ppl like red arowana.. some ppl like golden arowana.. even some like green arowana.. so it really depends.. EYE TAIL FIN SPOON HEAD or not 3ft tank i think too small bro....might want to change.... but when u buy make sure the eye is not drop, big fan tail withtout any white frame coz that will indicating the tail or fin is rotting.. and try to buy those who are already 4-5 inch.. avoid tiny ones.. some ppl like long barbel tips for cheaka: for first timer.. make sure ur tank have cover.. aro likes to jump.. dont overfeed and dont leave the food inside the tank.. coz it till become toxic and give problem later on.. the rest you can read up online.. you might also wan to consider placing or sticking one layer of black oyama paper on the bottom to prevent drop eye before u actually fill up the tank with aro and put aro inside.. you mean the bottom part of the tank have to be dark ah? i have white foam board below.... the shop owner told me that they only eat mealworms and crickets(when they are big).....i guess my old pallets all cannot use.... |
