this is the first time i am asking about FC of a car due to being a birgin in getting suv of this size. noted that the tank capacity is 59L for the E variant and average range is less than 500 km. True?

80%-90% highway,, max can get around 600km, I think 700km is possible, if you drive it in relax mode
mixed 50/50 around 450km

mine is AWD variant
*
thanks for the heads up. Awd usually has higher FC than the Fwd? It will take me a while to accustom to the power train coming from C 250. 0-100 >10 seconds. hmm.....

Damn that's crazy. Personally I cannot imagine waiting 22 blues in front of me... from my Penang SA blue is the most popular color so maybe can consider changing to less popular color like the dark gray actually not bad.

I'm 3rd in line now for blue for my branch cool2.gif

I saw quite a numbers of silver in kl. quite nice !

Same here, never thought silver is nice. I think it's because it's paired with black grill/wheels that's why it's nice
*
more like darker silver. really nice color on this CRV.

Yeah man, and using paddle or B mode to increase regen was quite fun and felt good when it charges up your hybrid battery so during red light the engine is completely off. No sound and harsh vibration at all.
*
so during idle, does the air conditioning running at normal mode ? didn't notice this . also didn't pay attention to the bose speakers. Was too into the performance of the car. laugh.gif Also didn't notice that there was a 'head up display'.

Test driven a low end BYD before. Those EV are like that, instant torque. Was considering a smaller EV as 2nd car for town use to complement the 1.5T CRV for outstation.

smart #1. Nice! Fast too!

Yes it runs at normal speed with full cooling capabilities available, not like the stupid start-stop idling in other brands that cut off cooling
*
Yeah... my current ride has this retarded function. I need to switch it off each time I start the engine. Lol

Need to ask the SA. Sometimes they off the  HUD function due to people complaining it is distracting their driving.
*
yeah....the HUD is quite distracting! Lousy feature in my opinion.

People are weird… the HUD means you don’t need to look down at your speedometer so it reduces distraction actually.
*
it's quite distracting. needs to get use to. prefer clear vision when i drive. maybe i am weird, laugh.gif

Honda quoted max speed for RS is 187 kph. 200 kph for the 1.5T.

I was told, once going above may be 120 kph, the 1.5T performs better.
*
could be the battery added up the weight! anyway needs to change mindset driving SuV. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Cavino @ Aug 28 2024, 08:35 AM)
It's not the battery weight only, it's the engine. RS using NA-based Atkinson engine that is VERY efficient in fuel efficiency BUT has noisy and  weaker horsepower than even NA-based Otto cycle engine (normal engine). Then the otto engine added turbo in to increase even more horse power and torque than NA otto cycle engine.

So while both using 2.0 engine, RS NA (natural aspirated without turbo) engine can never match Otto-cycle turbo engine of 1.5T CRV in term of horsepower and torque once RS's Atkinson engine clutched in directly to the wheel above 110Km/h. Below about 110km/h, RS will mostly engage the electrical motor to the wheel thus the super smooth and strong torque coming directly from the motor with engine mostly activated to charge the battery rather than engage directly to wheel.

well explained. thumbsup.gif

nice. thanks all for the information shared.

most of the time i didnt shift to N. but just wonder

As for the regen braking, its just a concern when taking corner. other than brake lock, its the weight distribution. just the typical concern when taking corner on the ICE car. but with the info shared, i believe the risk is quite minimal.
*
does honda has the brake hold feature like mercedes benz?

Yes, it's standard on Civic and CR-V. For City I think only RS models have it, since you need electronic parking bra for the feature.
*
oic. This function is very useful when waiting for traffic lights to turn.

I have just been informed today that all CR-V RS & V as well as Civic RS has been cancelled until Dec 2024. Anyone has been informed of this? Damn I was informed of the delay on the actual delivery day. I have even just sold off my old car. After waiting for 6 months. Damn
*
no wonder no discount given for these two variants. Maybe the lower two variants are overstocks.
