Day 3 of owning the crv. Noticed rattling sound around driver dashboard area during idling. Sound gone when moving.

Mine have serious rattling noise when go through brick road. The noise is getting louder after almost 1month driving it.

Can't find the exact location, seems like it is from the start button or tweeter mounted at the door

My bad.. Read from a couple recent sources and they made it seem as I reported earlier. It was launched in China. smile.gif  However, I still think it'll take the same amount of time as Honda needs to satisfy it's huge customer base in the USA, then other markets. Yes HM has been "aggressive" lately, but as history shows, we only get after the likes of Thailand and Indonesia.

P.S. I get what you mean but wouldn't call aggressive, cuz they are still holding out of stuffs others get as default.  biggrin.gif

Thailand and Indonesia still not getting iDCD hybrid Right? Our Zimbabwe country is the first in the region, probably we will get the CRV hybrid ahead of them.. But then I just my CRV1.5... impossible to change again lol..

Drove to KLIA and back averaging around 90kmh-ish. Brilliant fuel consumption!
*
My maximum per trip FC is 17.1km/l.. can't go higher than that already. Average FC is 12.3km/l. My Honda city can reach as high as 24.X km/l. Per trip.

Any experts or has knowledge/experience to list down the pros and cons of both crv and cx5?
*
I'm not expert but I'm owner of CRV 2017

pros:
huge rear passenger space and boot space
Crazy huge center console storage space. I like it alot
Andriod auto compatible Head unit
Good pickup power with 1.5turbo engine
Good NVH and comfort suspension hardness
Good handling match with the performance of compact sedan

Cons:
I got rattling dashboard noise on first day.
Bad paint job, clear coat too thin. Got many swirl scratches less than a month. Mine is blue obsidian color
Squeky noise on the front arm rest
Squeaky noise on the rear seat

the bad things only to fit and finish of interior. Some of the panel they didn't install properly and I have to fix it myself, interior light button jammed, Little bit rattling noise on the point mentioned above. Overall it is a good car.

Is 2.0 a good buy? Any advice?
*
To me 2.0 Is still ok.

The power delivery is enough for daily usage.

Main advantage is N.A. engine has Lesser component compare to turbo variant thus cheaper in long term maintenance and lesser problem.

And that 17' rubber is cheaper compare to 18'.

The reason I opt for turbo over 2.0 because of the front sensor lol..

Any one knows whats the bar in the middle for (below the average fuel) ? its moving up and down when driving, it doesn't feel like turbo boost meter  hmm.gif
*
Realtime fuel consumption meter. In kilometres per litre of fuel ( km/l)

If the bar go up means higher fuel economy

My car having 2 issue now, the 130km/h ++ humming sound.. and a clinking sound appear on slight uneven road that create vibration.. sound coming from below steering~  no clue which part ~ grumble.gif

I have that problem also.. seems like it is from the engine bay rather than under the steering
