Hi guys, hows the CRV build quality and known issues so far? I did look through this thread of known issues. Are they slowly getting ironed out? Interested on a 1.5 TCP for my parents to purchase they are 60 y/o. Any good SA based in KL/Shah Alam?

CRV build quality is good, so far driven almost 1000km. no issue.
if you consider buying a car for 60/yo, you can also consider Xtrail, i find X trail seat is more comfortable.

Another sharing, HRV is not bad for old people as the height to walk in the car is very comfortable for old people.
quite a roomy car too.
only the back seat is a bit bumby, if only 2 of them, i think you can put this in list too.

Yes, the seat comfort was my 1st complaint to the SA. I used to get back pain for long distance drive on my Civic, was hoping the CRV seats to be much better but disappointed.

Hey bro...
Here's the big issues i found on today during otw from kl to jb
After 140km/h there's a noise from the engine parts and it's so loud.
The sound reduced but still can hear after 160kn/h
Anyone here facing the same issues like me? Many owner of CRV G5 in FB group found the same issue like. I dont know whether is bearing issue or tyre.
*
how to join the G5 in FB?

I have driven 140kph before but probably for just a minute before having to reduce speed.. it's not often I get to go to 140kph unfortunately. What sort of humming noise did you hear? From the engine or cabin noise? I definitely do not recall any noise but I didn't drive that fast enough anyway.

same here, please share video or something?

No problem here so far after 7 months of owning the car. Don’t listen to the nay sayers especially those that write a lot and who didn’t even own the car.

I mean, just go buy a CX5 already and stop haunting on a CRv thread.
*
I dont know who is the so called nay sayers and they dont own the car, unless i have the proof to it. the humming sound and clinking sound is true and cant deny~ i was doubt this earlier, but lucky or bad luck my car now started to have both issues now.
this forum is to share everything about CRV, correct me if im wrong. dry.gif

QUOTE(Xonius @ Mar 13 2018, 12:49 PM)
Anyone else here is having some sound/wind noise problem on the new CRV?

Mine would have noticeable wind noise (humming) at 90kmh and gets very bad and annoying above 120kmh. Problem looks like from driver side door. Honda checked the rubber seals and they look all fine, not sure where the problem lies.

If there are any strong outdoor smell (like travelling behind a garbage truck or near a sewer treatment plant) the smell would leak into the cabin even with air circulation turned on.

Sound proofing is also very bad for this car, i'd say even proton fares better, seriously wtf.

Any workshop experts in finding the fault? since Honda SC is pretty fucking shit at it.
*
for my case, the wind sounds not as bad as you facing. but the noise from tyre is noticeable, but i think its quite fair for SUV big tyres..
i think your unit may have some issue, it is very rare case 90km/h have humming sound... confused.gif

Really dislike the usb/hdmi ports location...affecting the storage area (prone to usb bending/dislocated or port wear tear) and its dark to see plug/unplug

Also fhe hdmi video playback limitation is really irritating....anyone tried hacking ?
*
try to get yourself mini pendrive bro...
as below attached.

i tried the "hack", everything fine and easy.

Did u guys wait for the 10k service or  6.7k ... ?
*
i have done my service A & B together which agree and advise by the technician.
fyr, my mileage due (shown on screen) is 7500km+.
they ask me 10,000km no need to come back. just follow the indicator.

Anyway, just my advise, insist to have engine filter change, just additional RM50+.
Honda dosent include this as compulsory.. may be im old school, every engine oil change, should change the filter too. flex.gif

So from 7.5k to 10k... the notification didn't annoying you at all ?

Now dash just showing _ _ _ _ km ....
According to the handbook, the sensor will diagnose recalculate the mileage for oil change.

But _ _ _  still happens after one week..
