What sort of maintenance you are referring?
*
Been told 8-12 months to do some maintenance just to make sure the coating still good (since it comes with years of warranty) and if I have new body parts, they will coat them for free too. So I have to drive up all the way to KL sweat.gif

Avoid trapo mat at all cost. The design of the rear seat mat doesn’t fit at all. Contacted their customer service and they shamelessly ask me to return the mat to them and bear the return cost myself. Look at the picture, it doesn’t sit on top of the original Honda mat due to design flaw.

QUOTE(crayzeex @ Sep 15 2017, 09:12 PM)
mine fit just nice. only a slight bulge at the middle.

i replaced the original honda mat. not install on top of it
*
wow. spent RM200+ for that quality?

crayzeex, the original set from Honda any good? usually I will placed on top to preserve the original set brows.gif

For ceramic pro, ideas told that no need to do any maintenance coating. They provide free coating during warranty period if you have add on body kit or any body repair due damage.

That's what set them apart from others which is the reason why I'm considering them
*
Yeah in the premium definitely Ceramic Pro. Did anyone use CarPro product from US before? One of the shop nearby my area using it

Hi guys. Is there any particular reason why we shouldn't remove this tiny sponge and let it detach it self later?[attachmentid=9138681]
*
QUOTE(wbe7955 @ Sep 17 2017, 11:45 AM)
Yup agreed. That's y i told the same to the SA. But he told me better leave it there for "extra protection" as your neighbour at carpark area might hit you door when they open theirs. But i guess this reason is not really valid though as the door position might be not in side-by-side position 😅

Did you removed yours from the day you own it?
*
I still kept mine on my old car LOL though in a way it really helps. just recently I need to get a mechanic to unlock my locktech (I forgot my key ranting.gif ) he has to maneuver in a tight spot as there was a car beside mine (since in a parking lot) with this tiny sponge, it saved both our cars without any scratches laugh.gif

Depending on your need and whether the OCD in us can take it tongue.gif

But I will still remove it as I'm considering coating the ride hehe

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Sep 17 2017, 12:06 PM)
Does anyone know how long to get the 1.5t (non premium model) if finances are settled?
*
Took me 2 days to settle the finances and signed but yet to get my car - around 7-8 working days now rolleyes.gif can't wait for it to arrive (SA told me unless I opt for Blue / Olive, they have it now)

One negative against CRV - the turning radius is poor. Are all SUVs like that?
*
Maybe my old car is crap but during test drive it seems to be very good. Can make u turn seamlessly without much efforts

Please let us know the outcomes. I almost going to purchase one but glad they have resolved the measurements now

Same problem as mine.
I asked in this thread earlier but unfortunately nobody answer. Asked my SA and he too didn't know.

Yes, restart and it's gone
Also last 2 days, while driving, the left front sensor keep on beeping. SO irritating, I stopped and restart and it's gone.

Been using this skin ever since I first got my car.
Quite like the fact that the background wallpaper, clock and overall interface is highly customizable.
Android base but the interface remind me of Window Phone OS, and Jaguar Incontrol Infotainment System.
Wonder why Honda don't advertise this as their default infotainment layout?  hmm.gif

Collected my car last Tuesday. Going to share my experiences a little so far with my ride as I noticed my comments above about the quality.

1. Collected the car on Tuesday - during inspection, noticed a tiny scratch mark near the petrol cap but other than that all were fine

2. Hibernate at home whole day as I will be sending the car for coating on Thursday

3. Drove all the way from Seremban to Shah Alam (Ceramic Pro Malaysia) for coating. Highway drive (all ECO mode till date) all smooth and no rattling sound at all (only slightly less than 110km/h) Underpowered, slightly most likely due to the ECO mode but no issue for me (new car, sure sayang a bit and drive like Uncle)

4. Ceramic Pro folks managed to find 2 more spots that I have missed during inspection - swirl mark on the roof (can't be removed / covered completely after wax) and a tiny spot near the drive side mirror (paint chipped but after wax hardly noticed) Great work by Ceramic Pro Team. Definitely can felt the instant boost of the materials quality both internal and external now

5. During the drive back to Seremban, heavy thunderstorm (no kidding - Thursday evening) Hardly can see the car in front along ELITE highway. But the drive was smooth (~70km/h) Quiet and does not felt like the rain dropped on zinc bumbung (I recalled someone commented this earlier)

6. Drove to Malacca as well over the weekend. This time I took the trunk road (Pedas/Linggi) to test out the narrow and winding road. Car performed great without any major issues. Some sharp turns hardly need to brake much. Also hardly hear anything in the cabin - sound proof is great.

7. Pump Shell VPower on Thursday (1 trip to KL and 1 trip to Malacca) just around half tank now with near 400KM left to drive, not too bad I guess

Complaints so far
-------------------
1. Too many gaps around the external body. Between the parts / lights. Hard to reach when wiping the water and insects tend to stuck in between the gaps

2. Cheap car plate from Honda (felt as if it will peel off anytime soon)

3. Brake pad is slightly loud when release but nothing major

Just some honest review so far based on the car I had now. I wanted to comment all down to pure luck but obviously Honda may need to improve on the build quality but well I guess that's how it is now for majority of businesses? No matter how much we pay we still may get some bad apples - my 2 cents

Congrat on your new car. How much is the coating? How long can the coating last? Any special care ? I intend to coat my car when i get my car.
*
Not sure they have October promo (maybe Deepavali promo) I got mine last month slightly more than 3k (both internal and external) with 5 years warranty. No maintenance needed and it is a permanent coating. Any new parts / accidents they will work it out for you FOC. Check out their FB page (Ceramic Pro Malaysia), Ben is really helpful

Ceramic Pro or 3M Hypershield Coating, which one better for CRV?

went for Ceramic Pro. no regret so far. service is very good.

Did you guys tested your rear fog light? Went to first service and been told by Honda that only the driver side rear fog light is functional, the other one is not (just a dummy) wth? lol they said it is similar to HRV sweat.gif

That's a worry if you're in a fog..  cos other people may think you're not as wide as your car..

maybe write to Honda and quote this people for clarity.
*
QUOTE(Honto @ Oct 26 2017, 12:48 PM)
Yes, only 1 side got light. Law require minimum 1 side. Honda save money. Ours right hand drive should be on the right. If left hand drive, its on the left. It depends on the manufacture of the cars, some one side others boths. Look at toyota, one side prius, hilux. Both camry, vios.
*
QUOTE(Susuwatari @ Oct 26 2017, 12:50 PM)
It's common to have 1 rear fog light, especially the continental cars.
*
really have no idea on this. i thought mine having problem. dont think will help even if you write to Honda, most they will do probably for FL version tongue.gif

QUOTE(kuanpoh @ Nov 2 2017, 05:04 PM)
the term 'underpower' is very subjective. if u are driving small cc car (non-turbo ofcoz tongue.gif ) previously, u won't feel underpower on the 2.0 crv. After owning the 2.0 for 2 weeks, i would say the power is adequate for daily drive and don't expect to zip-zap at highway.

the main reason i take crv instead of cx-5 is the huge cargo space, rear seat can easily fit 2 adult+ baby seat. And again, i definitely wont play zip-zap on highway and try to overtake the passat at 140km/hr while ferrying my 60+ yr old parents and 2 yr old son.

I like the cr-v keyless entry. Unlike those after market keyless entry with a button on door handle, juz put your hand at the door handle sensor and ur car is unlocked. and simply touch the door handle to lock the car.

Overall a good car, no issue yet so far, a happy family man  thumbup.gif

[attachmentid=9295878]
*
true. i turned on ECO all the time and frequently being overtake because it felt like you are driving really slow (some sort of being pulled feeling) but not an issue for me - i just make sure i'm not a nuisance to people and stick to my inner lane.

i will use 'under-powered' term on this too but that is because i wanted it to be. if i drive without the ECO mode well i don't feel much of a difference compared to my other 2.0 car

I love the sensing  icon_idea.gif  when in those long jam I would on the low speed follow but distance you need to put longer  innocent.gif just for some space for car cutting and for me to break just in case  tongue.gif  but you need to either press resume or pedal if u stop for more than 5sec safety feature i guess . Overall is lesser hectic during jam with the sensing.  rolleyes.gif

And I just got my first paint chip on the hood  cry.gif  its tiny though but still  blush.gif
*
ouch! should have gone for coating. my other car had the same experienced hence the CRV has to go for coating else will be cry.gif though may not entirely immune but it will help. take care bro console.gif

Was thinking of doing coating but why waste money when I like to diy polish and wax my car  laugh.gif all my car previously none being wash outside, I treat them like precious diamonds  rolleyes.gif  biggrin.gif . Anyone bought window shades for our rides ? saw the ninja shades/smart shades but their design I don't really like, the magnets part stick to the door frame and wedge together with the rubber seal, might leave a mark  hmm.gif . Groovy kinda expensive  sweat.gif
*
cool if i have your patience i will too but haha devil.gif

i wanted to try those shades but saw some comments the rear one does not fit properly hence gave up and since the tinting is alright so far so just leave it
