I find myself just using Bluetooth for short drive.. and CarPlay only on longer ones. Which means, I am not using CarPlay as often as I like. Wireless CarPlay is definitely the way to go forward.

Anyone know what's this Square grill thing is for? Is it to access the dashboard? My SA has no clues.

From the reflection on the windscreen, that inside that grill thing is a many hexagon shapes - it does look like some sort of speaker.

A quick update regarding this oil life thing. As I drive a few more longer trips including one recent outstation trip, I notice that while the distance to oil life did not increase, it does take longer before it drop another 100km.

For example, a few weeks ago, I had 2700km to oil change even though I clocked just 747km = which means my oil life is just 3,447km in total.

Today, when I checked, my distance to oil change is 2100km but I have clocked 2000km. My total oil life is now 4100km. It's extended its life by 700km

If I keep this up, maybe I can hit 6,000km or 7,000km before I actually need to change oil

My fear is not banging on someone who's texting.. my fear is someone behind me texting and then did not notice my car and bang me! Coz this situation is beyond my control where as I can be careful by keeping safe distance to the car in front.

One thing I notice about Apple Maps in Car Play is that it will automatically pop up new routes if it helps save some travel time and ask if I want to choose that new route. I don't think I've seen this in Waze.

Waze does it at the beginning of the journey.

What I meant with Apple Maps was AFTER you already chose a route and you are driving along it, then it prompt you of a better alternative which will save you 8 minutes. Waze does not do that.

This weekend itself I saw 3 Gunmetal Grey colour VAK, VAL, VAN and a White VAK in the span of an hour ... lots more coming on the road! Surprisingly, Silver, talak nampak.

You are right. That's what I had in mind.

I find it a bother to keep on needing to tap OK at the head unit to dismiss some disclaimer text every time I start the car. Annoying actually.

It's not exact fit but it doesn't curve up for me. You mean it has a bulge near the rear facing aircond vent?

It's not meant (designed) to place on top of the original. Maybe that's the reason, so perhaps you try it by removing the original mat.

Also, putting it on top of another may means the bottom may will accumulate more dust/germs.. that's kinda gross.

Because it will leave a mark 6 months later.
