searched the thread v2 and v3 but can't find how to update modified E5186 firmware.

already tried updating by following blacktubi's guide.
no change in software version or webui. but on close inspection, webui is the latest already.

i need to update firmware because my router always resets SSID once a day for no reason.. i always have to setup my SSID after went back from work. very annoying. is it faulty firmware? or another problem? anyone can shed some light on this?

another thing wanna ask.. how do u setup ipv6? i tried googling but due to my limited understanding of the concept, i failed to reach the guide. anyone can help me on this also? will definitely help others to setup ipv6...

i see one technical question few pages back got answers but mine from even further back got ignored.. i wonder why..

let me rephrase my questions:

1. why does my e5186 reset its SSID for no reason once a day? i noticed it happen when using 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz. now i have turn off 5 Ghz, it doesn't happen. could it be faulty router? (which brings me to next question)
2. is there a way to force update router firmware? yes i know about modified and not modified e5186 (from previous thread) and also firmware/webui something something. i've been googling about how to force update firmware for modified e5186 but didn't find anything helpful. looking at the last v2 thread, it seems like blacktubi already done it. i tried pm him but no answer.. maybe anyone else here know? can help me?

3. lastly, i ask how to setup ipv6. but never mind dy. not interested because too complicated for me lol

Tried Dy.. few times. Firmware version still stuck same version. Could be because it's a modified router as u mentioned. I think the router got carrier branding but not sure what name .. the logo is purple in colour

Guys how many passes / how many minutes before finish advanced flashing... 25 passes dy... No sign of finishing any time soon.. bricked?

Telia, tele2 and LMT firmware. I tried all three still same. Downgrade to 21.282.99.80.00 first then change to one of the firmwares I mentioned.

Router not bricked at the moment, firmware and webui version number still the same. Possible that I didn't know how to put in firmware update mode or firewall blocked upload to router?

Lots of tries.. still failed to update. The first part (downgrade) always successful with WiFi led blinking slowly. The second part always end up with red led light after 2 passes..
P/s I want to upgrade firmware because I couldn't set manual DNS in router using toolbox. Always says DNS change successful then when checked back the DNS is not set at all.
