Why never test dulu lah??
i only get decent speed using i150...10-40mbps only....not like gila speed like other people..
but as long i can stream 4k netflix for my smart tv...no complaint for me at the moment..

You should try out Digi connection using prepaid for RM 8/day unlimited then only switch to Infinite...
I'm happy with mine though.
My friend has digi, price and online service is terrible but it works.I'm happy with mine though.
2Mb/s as backup internet is fine. its just the consistent drops that bother me. Where i am considering costs of all plans and the fact that i will use it as portable internet later once i get a fixed line internet because even though webe is better, its not unlimited for tethering.
Celcom at best gives me 5Mb/s on 4G for prepaid, a lot of times is only a bit faster than digi 3G on 4G. With celcom the signal is consistent.

Thank you for sharing and ranting. Nothing new with DiGi Infinite as most of us have in some way experienced what you did.
There is another DiGi Infinite bashing thread called the "DiGi Lagfinite" thread. Welcome to the club.

What i'll do is use my current webe sim and get another cheap plan for my phone once i wont be expecting any calls and use mikrotik to bypass the tether/NAT detection as mikrotik has layer 2 NAT which when combined with all the other firewall features, and transparent proxy cache would make malaysian's unbearable 4G to be a bit more bearable.
Digi infinite is not so bad but i was expecting a better network, not really better speeds. In a congested City, the reasonable speed for 4G is a few Mb/s. TM is super slow in connecting new places but for me to push them to be fast requires some legit things first to push them. Once my new work is confirmed i'll be able to push TM to faster connect my current place but in the mean time this crappy digi infinite is the only plan that is cost effective unless i have the time to configure my router for NAT detection bypass. It is something i've done before but requires a lot of tweaking. In designing any network, the telcos need to define the expected share ratio, for instance how many expected users per tower. so if 4G can get in total 1Gb/s total bandwidth, with a researched average of 30% bandwidth utilisation, that tower could handle 1000 users at the same time at best if each user on average gets 3Mb/s so it could be that digi's plan per customer average could be lower which is what im seeing all over the net in experience. In todays age if you cant get a few Mb/s in 4G it means your telco did their research and plan poorly.
Using webe on my phone with tethering, its not particularly fast either, but speeds and network is faster than digi infinite. I wish TM didnt do away with it and replaced it with unifi mobile because i could've gotten another sim cheaper and just use my router for unlimited bandwidth. Webe's network may not be as good as celcom/maxis but definitely better than digi since webe can use any network (they all require TM) but Webe/TM mobile gets pushed back in priority compared to own customers. This does make webe/unifi mobile as the most flexible network, but unifi mobile has the worse deals at RM5 per GB at best in prepaid.
If you go to EU, in any 4G plan you will be surprised at the cost, its way more expensive but their network is also better. We malaysians can barely afford things here so our telcos also give us only what we can afford, this is because cost of living for necessities cost the same as the UK for food and many items which is what disgusts me about malaysia since the salary also doesnt match. With every frequency spectrum it costs many millions and it is not the local government that controls the purchasing of a frequency license as theres an international organisation for it.
