other than band lock function, is there any other reason to get B525 or E5186?

or latest E5186 firmware can do band lock also?

Guys, I'm in huge dilemma. Is there really a need to buy expensive home routers like B525 and E5186? My place has average 4G LTE coverage.

I just want to know is there really any difference between the expensive ones and the cheap ones? Is this more like a mindset thing? Like you feel better if you buy more expensive ones?

For example: What's the point of buying B525 if you're just going to get 80mbps speed?

Glad to hear some down to earth reply. I tried searching for an answer on this Facebook Digi Infinite group but everyone's asking to buy the best without any solid explanation. Everyone seems to be pushing people out there to buy the best and most expensive device. Sure, the speed's probably faster by a bit but judging from the price, I really wonder if it's worth it.

At some point, you have to ask yourself, is the upgrade from the current 30mbps (normal sim router) to 50mbps (Nighthawk M1) really worth the money? Do you even fully utilise your Internet speed?

is that the usb modem like this will work for casual internet surfing?

Any pros & cons between these 2 devices, usb stick & MiFi?

actually i looking for usb modem, but i see no modem can support lte-a. Because i have a pretty decent router ac68u if i get b618 then that router gonna keep in dust    another work around is to use a mifi with lte-a which i saw this tenda can, then use the router as a repeater, much more hassle but i do get a pretty stable LAN network compared to mifi only wireless n.
may i have the link to the group? but if the price of the preown modem is near the price of b618, better go for b618 lol. ya i dont have plan to get voice. But i saw ppl say b618 only can do ipv4? this b618 seems super powerful and i think it can fully utilize lte-a, becos i saw i am in coverage, maybe phone sucks so didnt get the CA thus slower speed. becos at digi store down at the mall, they can reach 50-60mbps easily.
