Hello everyone, wanna ask opinion on my current situation...
Currently I just moved with a couple of housemates at a place that does not have unifi and optic fibre internet that can provide unlimited data. All of us are high data users (mainly gaming, youtube, movie and etc), so we were so sad that unifi isn't covered at our place. The best is just 2mbps streamyx 😢
Eventually we were desperate for Internet and we subscribed to some Maxis 65gb broadband plan and eventually we realized that 65gb was not enough for us and we needed unlimited data.
One of my friend recommend me using digi infinite 150. Another friend was skeptical about it but based on some reviews, it seems like it isn't bad. My question is...
1. Can digi infinite 150 be used as a modem for high data users at home like unifi is?
2. If so, is it better if we used a modem as hotspot or using another phone?
*sorry, I iz noob. Any help is appreciated 😊
1. Yes. Use modem router and broadcast the WiFi. However, please check the device details first as the recommended device connected is vary.
2. Of course using Modem Router is better. Phone hotspot signal is not strong. Its not like u guys using the internet near each other. Maybe 1 in room, 1 in toilet. Who knows.
Btw, before u make final decision, please check the coverage first here
http://new.digi.com.my/services/4g-lte-coverage and also an advantage if u are a Digi user and check Digi signal and do some speed test and signal test (OpenSignal is suffice). Maybe 2 test where 1 in morning/afternoon and night during weekdays and weekend. U don't want do also no problem.
However, some user has been capped due to extreme quota usage. Proceed with your own risk. 2 months payment only. No contract.
