This show just did not work for me. I tried to watch it but I constantly looking for progress bar to fast forward it.

Yeap, I don' like the screamings, having more faith will win you fights, no tactics, over 9000, etc.

I prefer where people have tactics and strategy when they fight. Hence I love shows like Starship Operators which many, many people did not like because it is too cerebral. And fights are short and decisive, no hanky panky slow mos or anything like that. A good warrior is the one who studies the enemy and self then go to fight with aim to finish it as quickly and decisive as possible

To me, warriors who did that is more GARR to me then TTGL mecha pilots. Best mecha military fight show to me is still Gasaraki.

I can ignore the mythology part, I just focus on politics and military fights. I just skip all those scenes with mythology.

Plus too many fights is no use. A fight must have a reason to happen and not turn into monster of the week mess which I heavily disliked.

Another thing that annoyed me with mecha animes that they just blindly charge forward. Guess the animators was too caught up with samurai spirit exhibited by Special Attack Corps in World War 2 aka Kamikazes.

Strangely, until today when Japanese anime fans asked me only 2 questions when they find out I am an anime fan. Lots of them.

1. Do you watch 0079 Gundam? or
2. Do you watch NGE?

Guess this are very popular shows that they use as yardstick of some sort.
