looking for a wireless USB adepter for it,
Any model / brand is compatible for iBook/Mac?
heard that the D-Link gave an horible experience for Mac User...
Wifi USB card for iBook?, did any one tried it beside the airport?

Well...I've used D-Link before. Very strong signal. Never gave me any prob until it died out on me about a year use. Now am using some no-brand usb dongle my friend got it from Carrefour. About RM60 usng WLAN software. Signal not as strong as D-Link but workable for me.
One thing to note though that I just can't pull out the dongle just like that. I need to logout/shutdown to do that else the MAC will freeze and crash. For the price I paid instead of an Airport card, the inconvenience is negligible. |

I've use Linksys before, but forgot the model.
Very nice one. Plug in to the Mac and ready to connect. |

USB = Its not going to be an Airport card...
ATM , get any Ralink RT2500 Card.....I am basically working on the project. Google for 'Ralink A La Airport drivers' and you will have it ! |

ASUS WL-167G [RT2500] , i bought it for like RM 160 [that was like 2 years ago] , its handy and i use it to hack into other peoples network or to do auditing with it. Scanning and stuff like that

In other words its same as that D-link wifi usb. But I've fixed the drivers now , and it works well. So you should not face any problem if you use my hacked drivers.

again , make sure its RT2500..It must be a RT2500
WRT54GC is supported , rev4 works with it |
