QUOTE(iamyourdaddy27 @ Nov 6 2019, 01:17 PM) According from my intel gathered. SHELL HQ in Hague have approved this project and SHELL HQ have allocated a high level estimated cost for this project. Apparently from my source this project have been announced internally in SHELL organization recently to take off in 2020 and SHELL are in the midst of getting the project concept approval from PETRONAS. Pre-FEED was done by Ranhill Worley Conceptual studies: currently ongoing but its done by SHELL in-house FEED TBA Target FID Q2 2020 First Gas Q1 2024 Despite SHELL expiring PAC of current fleet. Rosemari & Marjoram wont be affected as they already have a seperate PAC contract according to my sources. Hope this info helps. |

QUOTE(ZZMsia @ Dec 27 2019, 10:37 AM) Not sure where your info is from. Sapura get Crux? Is that jacket, topsides or both? 1. Jerun epcc itb has not been issued. So no question of whether it will go to Sapura or Mmhe. 2. Saudi Aramco. There's many crpo, so far none been awarded to Malaysian fabricator. Some ongoing in bid stage. But not awarded. Anyway, Shell crux. Sapura will get? Good news then for the local industry. Understand formal award will be Q2 although the winner will be notified ahead of time. |

QUOTE(naeezcose @ Feb 2 2020, 09:42 PM) The coronavirus seems to be taking its toll on the oil price. Heard that the virus is affecting deliveries and work schedules for offshore projects at China yards - will our local fabricators, Sapura, MMHE and MISC etc. be affected too? |

QUOTE(camel_active @ Jun 22 2020, 08:33 AM) I heard they will let go of the one that finishes their job, I mean the project is finish and no new project for them. only affected the contract personnel. they will give a one month notice. It would be good if someone could share that email. Am surprised that Ian would have sent a lengthy email just to announce the lay-off of contract staff who might be hired just for a specific job anyway. langstrasse liked this post

QUOTE(camel_active @ Jun 24 2020, 11:40 PM) Before this Ian is very positive about the backlog project can accommodate everyone and no one will layoff. Now its different. That would be bad news for Malaysia but could make sense for McD - engineering done in India and fabrication in Batam, IndonesiaHeard within 2 years they want to exit malaysia, and relocate the engineering centre either to Gorgon or Chennai Gorgon = Gurgaon? Hope this won't lead to an exodus of other contractors such as Aker Solutions and TechnipFMC |

Hi there,
Looks like Petronas has pulled the plug on the Limbayong FPSO tender. It seems the bidders have been informed but no details when the project might now move ahead. Can anyone confirm please? |
